You can find Munchlax in honey trees around Sinnoh. I'm not sure if there's any certain amounts of honey to put on the tree though.

As far as I know, it's only available in the wind plant tree. But it's so ridiculously rare I gave up and traded for it.

You buy honey and put it on a honey tree. After seven hours, come back to the tree. Don't wait too long or the Pokemon may leave. Pressing A will make the tree rustle, and a Pokemon battle will be initiated. However, Munchlax is so rare that you're better off breeding Snorlax holding Lax Incense or trading for one on the GTS.

Munchlax appears very rarely, however. It will take lots of time and honey to get one.

I never really figured out how honey trees worked either. Are you sure you don't want to just trade for one? I've got tons of them, so I could give you one practically free.

If you have FR or LG, capture both snorlax(so you can still have one after migration), migrate one to your D/P, and breed. That's my plan for a Munchlax, even though I still need to breed.

But I thought I can't migrate until later in the game until after I beat the Elite 4 and the champion. And I'm having trouble with my WiFi, Joun

You don't need to beat the Elite Four, you just need to fill out the Sinnoh dex.

Unfortunitly the easiest way to see Spiritomb, Garchomp, and Milotic without having to raise them yourself is Cynthia...

You can't, but the question was how to catch/obtain a Munchlax, it didn't specify for pre- or post-national dex.

I caught a Munchlax by uploading Snorlax via Pal Park and breeding him with a ditto... Is that any help?
Whatever you do, please, please don't click here. I'm not joking, I'm really serious, I beg of you do NOT CLICK.

Honey trees are based on groups. There are 3 groups, but you can't tell which honey tree is which group until you know what pokemon you find at the tree. Here is a list:

Group 1: Aipom, Cascoon, Burmy, Silcoon, Cherubi, Combee, Wurmple

Group 2: Aipom, Burmy, Cherubi, Combee, Wurmple, Heracross

    Group 3: Munchlax

hope that helps. I still don't have a munchlax or Heracross

If you try this way, you may find different pokemon each time: Go to a honey tree, put honey on it. Save. Come back 6 or so hours later. Save again if its shaking. Go up to tree and see what pokemon appered. If its one you don't want, rest game and try again. Thats how I got my female combee. I found a wurmple first time, then reset and got a female combee.
