Thread: MOST IMPORTANT Question about Pearl/Diamond

Will it let you create more than one save file?? because in EVERY other pokemon game it was always a problem if you wanted to stay with your team and collect pokemon/ or replay the game and delete your old file. I need someone who played the game in Japanese or something to answer this most important question.

There's only one save file, sorry.

That's why two versions were made. If you made an extra save file, then you could possibly trade with yourself. That's cheating.

Please explain to me why trading with oneself is cheating....

Even if there were 2 save files on one cart, they wouldn't make it so the 2 files could interact with each other in trading. That'd defeat the whole purpose of buying the 2nd version, and Nintendo would lose money, which is something they NEVER want to do.
