Thread: Most Difficult Gym Leader in each generation?

Gen I - Never played Gen.I, but in FRLG Sabrina definitely gave me the most grief.
Gen II - It's between Whitney and Clair. Eff that Miltank.
Gen III - When I lack a fire/fighting type, it's Wattson. Otherwise... probably Norman.
Gen IV - I might let Volkner take this one. None of them really gave me trouble.

The games seem to be getting easier, though that may be because I have more personal experience under my belt nowadays.

Kanto: either Misty or Erika
Johto: Am I the only one who had an easy time with Whitney? (Here's a tip: use Flaafy, Onix, and the traded Machop if it's a girl too) For me, Claire in the originals and Morty in the remakes (Psychic-resistant + levitate (ground moves destroyed them before) + high speed = ARRRGGGH!!)
Hoenn: Wallace in Ruby/Sapphire, Tate & Liza in Emerald (hell, everyone was tougher in Emerald)
Sinnoh: Gardenia in Diamond/Pearl, Fantina in Platinum (I traded and used Stunky and Murkrow in Diamond, but neither exist in Platinum)

Gen1: Misty
Gen2: Blue
Gen3: RS Wallace, E Wattson Fr Sabrina
Gen4: P Crasher Wake Hg Bugsy

not sure for the first 3 gen, but the hardest gym leader in gen 4 is chuck

Gen I is the only one i've played but by far Sabrina.

All those people saying that Bugsy was hard, he really wasn't. At least, not for me, but I seem to do well against Bug-Types.

Giovanni in Yellow Version is still the hardest Gym Leader for me, but my Yellow Version doesn't save anymore. Next time I play, I will actually do something with that Squirtle.

Wait, Bugsy is a BOY? Oh ,I always thought he(?) was a girl. The only annoying thing is that U-turning super-fast Scyther.

Gen I (remakes): Brock. Especially if you chose Charmander. There's no good Pokemon that can easily beat him during the beginning of the game besides Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
Gen II (remakes): Whitney and Clair
Gen III: Tate & Liza
Gen IV: Maylene. Hardest, but still very easy.

Time for an update:
Gen I (FR/LG): Blaine or Giovanni
Gen II (HG/SS): Whitney, Clair
Gen III: Norman, Wallace/Juan
Gen IV: Don't remember.

Dude, you can stall out his Dugtrio -- his highest-level pokemon -- with a lvl. 2 Pidgey. Literally. It knows nothing but Ground moves.

Gen 1: I always seem to run into problems with Misty, even though I play Yellow and therefore have a Pikachu. FRLG: Gonna say Sabrina, here.

Gen 2: Whitney and her goddamn Miltank. What else? HGSS: I actually had the hardest time with Clair. Beat Whitney on my first try, but it took me at least 4 to beat Clair.

Gen 3: Tate and Liza. F*cking Earthquake...

Gen 4: Candice. I always seem to have a lot of pokemon weak to Ice...

Charmander grew to level 13! Charmander learned Metal Claw!

Misty was hard in Gen 1, fricking crit haxing Starmie.
Gen 2, Clair was tough.
Gen 3, Tate and Liza

Hmm, I'd actually have to say Rematch Pryce in SoulSilver was pretty tough, only for the fact I was leveling up my then-Lv. 53 Espeon.

It got knocked out many, many times, and I resorted to using my Lv. 89 Leafeon, instead.

Gen I: Sabrina. Psychic would ALWAYS KO me.
Gen II: Miltank. Just Miltank.
Gen III: Wallace was pretty easy for me. I would say Brawly.
Gen IV: Volkner

Gen I: Brock in Yellow only. It's pretty frustrating that you need to catch a Mankey just to fight him since you start with Pikachu. Misty was difficult in FRLG, since I started with Charmander in every file.

Gen II: Whitney. Her Miltank was an absolute b****.

Gen III: Flannery, because I didn't have any Water Pokémon when I fought her. Stupid Attract Torkoal always murdered me.

Gen IV: No one, because I always started with Chimchar. My brother, however, always chose Piplup or Turtwig, so Gardenia was a load of crap for him.
