hello,
I heard that mirage island appears through both ID number and a hidden hexadecimal number
(along with various sources about gender breakpoint which increase the chance of its
appearance)
can someone clear this up for me?

It's true, but I don't know the details.
It's a mysterious system, I also don't know too much about it...
I know that each day in pokemon R/S/E (you're talking about that island in the generation III games, right?) the game makes a hidden number and if you have a pokemon in your party that corresponds to that number, then the old man in Pacifidlog Town will tell you that he can see the island.
I also heard that it's as probable to win as it is to win the pokemon lucky number thing (you know, at the Department stores those huge marts).
Personally, I've never gone to that island, but I don't care about it that much...
I've never even heard of that island before :P LOL.
Looks interseting (:
I cba to look though :P
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating ♥
I knew about the anime appearance before I knew it exsisted in the games. When I fisrt heard someone say it was an in-game location, I thought it was a haox.
According to Bulbapedia:
Without the ability to search your box or use the GTS for trade, this becomes much less likely than winning a master ball from the lottery.Every day, a random number between 0 and 65535 is generated by the game. If this number matches the ID number of any of the Pokémon in the party, Mirage Island will appear in the game.
If 50 Cent had been STAB'd instead of shot, he would be 75 Cent.

Ya, its not that big of a deal is it? some berries and wynaut? At first I wanted to go there but now I know what's there, and I don't want to go. The likely hood is just sad for such a few, not so great, things

I just wanted to go there for Litchi berry, the ones that make Gold Pokeblocks, but as so far, have not
Liechi Berries can be useful if you're planning to use endure. Plus, they are good for making Spicy-Sweet Poffins / Gold Pokeblocks. Besides, who wouldn't want to have every berry there is? And the only other way to get them is 38,400 Pokecoupons in PBR.
If 50 Cent had been STAB'd instead of shot, he would be 75 Cent.
I dont really understand it but i understand that there is a greater chance of ur pokemon being a mirage island one if the general type of pokemon has a 12%:88% ratio of it being female:boy. I dont know about the whole ID number thing though. I've been to mirage island though and it really isnt all its cracked up to be. There are tons of wynauts and there is one tree of leichi berries which make gold pokeblocks. If you have an action replay though you can just add the cheat for the leichi berries if thats what you want, otherwise you could add the cheat for wynauts or the cheat for mirage island. But i wouldnt bother going through all the trouble of finding the perfect pokemon, i would just add the berry cheat because that type of berry really helps in contests.
Hope i helped a bit!
