My sister has had her Pokemon Blue game for a long, long time and it still hasn't died.
Both of our Crystals died, but we went to our local game store and got the batteries replaced.
My Sapphire also has a dead battery, I bought it used, and I don't really think I'm ever going to fix it. I can live without berries and anything else time-related.

oh yes my Sapphire and one of my rubies(I have two) have dead internal batteries but I too can live without berries. That's no big deal.

Oh, right... My Ruby and Sapphire cartridges also have expired clock batteries. I got them both firsthand at about the time they were released (Ruby, 19 March 2003; Sapphire, 21 March 2003). My Emerald cartridge still has a working clock battery.

Hmm, my copy of Blue is still operational? I've had it for almost twelve years now. Could I expect it to die out on me soon?

I bought my sapphire used and the internal battery ran dry. Luckily it still saves.

My brother's Gold and Silver versions are dead. My Crystal's still going. Fortunately I bought a Crystal with a new battery last year. I have had to get someone to replace a battery in a dead Japanese Crystal though.

    Regarding the Generation 1 games:

All are still going. Got one Yellow in 2000, and another in 2002. I got Red and Blue second hand, so I have no idea how old they are.

That's good to hear. My Red version's got to be on its last leg by now, so I was still debating on whether or not I should get it.

Hm. I have a dead-battery Crystal, and the Mega Memory device sounds good...

Also, I got a Crystal in 2006 or 2007. The battery was dead already.
Why are you looking here? There is nothing here.

I just popped my Blue Version into my Game Boy Advanced SP; nothing was wrong with it, and this was the copy that I had since 1998.

My Blue and Yellow still work as far as I know. I play them every once in a while on Pokemon Stadium on my N64.

My Silver, Gold and Crystal versions have all suffered the dry save battery fate though, so they don't work anymore.
