    Default GBA or NDS games

Based on your experience, in which console you liked playing Pokémn more (Not considering the region or generation...just gameplay, graphics, and music)?

GameBoy Advance - FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald

Nintendo DS - HeartGold, SoulSilver, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum.

I liked the Nintendo DS game better. The graphics were very nice and I just liked playing those games more, especially with added features like wi-fi. The GBA games were ok in my opnion but the DS ones were better.

The DS definitely. I never cared for the GBA.. I liked it better when the GBA SP came out, but the DS is way better.

Ugh... you cant make me vote between the two...
Each one improved the hand held gaming industry. For both generations there was never a portable game station able to live up to either of them. Each system holds a special place in my child hood for different reasons. The original wow factor of the variety of beautiful colors that the Gameboy Advance had introduced to our hands. The amazingness of such a decently accurate touchpad on the Nintendo DS. Good God the many spectacular games that you could play on each of them including the pokemon franchise.

With all the amazing good that came from both, how dare you try to make me choose between them? Nintendo is genius when designing hand held video game hard wear.

Out of the two, I found the Nintendo DS era to be more enjoyable. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection really gave Pokémon the kick it needed. I also liked the console's shape a lot better than the Gameboy Advance (also, back lit screen!).

The Gameboy Micro has a special place in my heart though.

The DS, by far. Having two screens for Pokemon was really nice. And to be blunt, it just plain had the better Pokemon games on it.

You forgot to mention Black and White. They're on the DS too, ya know. :P

Anyway, the DS games for me. I love Platinum and Black the most, followed by HG/SS, then Diamond and Pearl, so yeah.

I like the GBA games better, simply because they were more memorable to me. But the NDS games were better storywise and graphicwise.

DP were slow in both battle and surfing, but Platina and on are better than the GBA games. HGSS were the only ones making proper use of the touchscreen. I like the games to NDS better. However, most Pokemon DS games use sounds from GBA, making the music sound a little too much like the GBA. HGSS sounds different though.

Not mentioned here, but my favorite is the old Game Boy. Old Pocket Monsters doesn't have the special/physical categories of attacks, which is bad, though, and they lack other features like breeding. But design, music and the overall feel, all except the lacking features, are best in my opinion. If including region, Silver is my favorite, but if excluding region, generation, etc. then it's the games for Game Boy, or NDS between NDS and GBA.

Actually, Black and White came out like the same month as the 3DS and huge games like Pokemon are not really suitable for launch titles since they take so much time to make, so it made sense that BW were made for the DS.
