Having never played Yellow I think it would be cool if that was remade with new graphics and what not.
Considering FR was my first Pokemon game, I'd like a remake... just not right now. I'm kind of sick of Kanto after seeing it in every generation; it needs a break. Maybe in Gen VI.
I'd prefer RGB as a whole. I loved having Pikachu follow you in Yellow... but once I get far enough through the game, I just can't play it anymore without complaining every hour about how terrible a non-evolving Pikachu is, especially since the Light Ball didn't exist yet. Just throw in the walking Pokemon feature and I'd be perfectly fine with having RGB over Yellow.
Not to mention, pretty much the main reason Yellow was made was to tie in with the anime, the first season specifically. The anime was a big introduction to Pokemon as a whole to a lot of people, so it worked then. What kid is going to care about references to the first season if Yellow is remade in around 9 years? (Assuming the remakes are for Gen VI.)
Heck, one time at least a year ago, I met this kid at a birthday party that was probably around 8 or 9. He claimed to be a big Pokemon fan. I showed him the first theme. His reactions? "... Which one is this again? I thought Ash had a different hat."
In short, I can see them just going with another RGB remake.
As for not celebrating the 15th anniversary, they did... just in a minor way. They had Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur C-gear skins and a Kanto starter Pokedex skin for Japanese BW around the time of it.
For features, I can see Silver getting a cameo somewhere in the Sevii Islands because of that Rocket that said Giovanni's kid had red hair.

I expect the game boy colour pokémon games of generations I and II will release on the Virtual Console on the 3DS instead of a remake. Maybe they could connect to generation VI games on the 3DS like Pokémon Snap connected the Wii message board and Photo Channel. If they do release on the Virtual Console maybe they will release the Pokemon Stadiums on the Virtual Console of the successor to the Wii. I expect Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 won't release on the Virtual Console on the Wii because it would be hard to connect a 3DS game to a Wii. Mii Maker has done this but it only sends Miis from the Wii to the 3DS and not allowed Miis from the 3DS to be sent to the Wii.
I would also prefer in generation V Kanto to be visitable in Ruby and Sapphire remakes like it was visitable in the generation II games and their remakes.
Why would they remake a game that's already been remade once?
They've done quite enough with Gen I. It's time to move on.

For the moment this can stay open, provided it conforms to the same rules as our RSEmake thread:
Pokémon Remake Discussion (Read First Post!)
Essentially, no discussion/arguing/flaming regarding the viability of said remakes, and only discussion of features/etc. If this thread deteriorates into arguing (as remake threads are prone to do, based on past history), it will just be closed.
So, I don't want anyone arguing here or else this thread will be closed and I won't be very happy.
Anyway, I think that like HGSS, the Kanto Dex will feature all Pokemon that evolve/preevolve from a Gen I Pokemon as long as they can be availible pre-Hall of Fame.
So, the dex would be like this:
^I think that's a very good idea (FrLg stuck way too close to the originals on that point), but I think Leafeon and Glaceon should be in there too, a Moss Rock in Viridian Forest and an Ice Rock in the Seafoam Islands. It annoyed me that they were unobtainable without trading in HgSs. Similarly, Magneton and Nosepass should probably evolve in the power plant.
I was thinking that Leafeon and Glaceon would be accessible after the E4, seeing as you have to have Umbreon and Espeon in the dex as Eevee could evolve via happiness, but Leafeon and Glaceon don't have to evolve pre-E4.
You could find Leafeon in Pattern Bush or whatever it was called, and have Glaceon in Icefall Cave.
^Go back in time? What?
I'd expect a further remake would have to justify its existence by providing features that weren't in FRLG. As such, I'd expect it to be a Yellow remake rather than a RGB remake. It would have the plotline of Yellow and the ability to get all the starter pokemon retained. It would be a remake of Yellow.
