Thread: Favorite Secret Base location?

I've been there. Really hard to decide which hole though, isn't it...

I like the ones on 119 that you have to surf to get to. Only thing is, you need the boards to use half of them and I still haven't defeated the E4 on this go-around, so it'll be a while...

I decided to hide mine among the cliffs west of Fallarbor town. It's fairly easy to remember since there isn't so much stuff cluttered up there. Nice place really.

I've heard that if you trade records with another version, you'd be able to play that friend in their respective hideout, am I right? I traded with my cousin, and if this holds true, I'm either having a terrible time searching for his base, or he didn't make one, or I could just be as very well wrong.

No, you're right. If you mix records with someone else, their secret base will show up in your game. You'll meet that person in their base and they'll be a trainer from the game (picnicker, school kid etc.) and you'll battle a CPU-controlled version of their team. You have to save the game beforehand, you can only battle them once per day, and you have to have beaten the Elite 4 before they'll challenge you.

If you talk to a young boy in Mossdeep City he'll tell you which route they're on. If you still can't find them, just make new ones...

Post above mine: Yeah it is cool! I mixed with my friend Oscar (who moved to France) then started a new game so I can't battle him. Still, the trainer sprite you end up having has something to do with your Trainer ID number.
I just wish we could all mix records on here, it would be so cool to be able to find all those bases (and you could come to my cafe-ish base)!
