Default Which console should pokemon concentrate on?

I would like some more GBA games because we haven't actually had many (pokemon that is). Maybe they could remake Gold/Silver?

Agreed on the lack of GBA games - they are almost outnumbered by the DS games now, and it is obvious we can expect even more DS additions.

You should know that if there were Gold and Silver remakes, they would certainly be for the Nintendo DS. If to keep it simple, it is only right that the remakes represent the originals which were not on the monochrome Game Boy (GBA) occupied by their predecessors, Red and Green (FireRed and LeafGreen).

Yet Nintendo has not given up on the GBA, nor has the Pokémon Company left the GBA games behind. That said, to say they are concentrating on them would be false, but I am not sure whether that matters in the first place.

The real question is what new things can be done with the GBA series in 2007. Anyone who has kept track of the unused data in those games should know that the potential very well exists. As one example out of many, there are unobtainable egg moves which have been carried over to Diamond and Pearl, despite remaining unobtainable. Those are: Mankey's Meditate (Revenge is now taken care of by Weavile), Scyther's Razor Wind (Snorlax's Fissure is now taken care of by Lapras) and Gligar's Razor Wind. Indeed, these are just three moves which are not even that appealing, but the question remains why they were not addressed in Diamond and Pearl like the other two, or at least removed from the data. There are countless more examples for unused data which are infinitely more interesting.

You seem to be against buying the new consoles, to which I can relate (I have yet to buy a Nintendo DS, even). You also seem particularly fond of Gold and Silver, and therefore want the potential remakes to be for the GBA. But I ask you, isn't a third game to FireRed and LeafGreen the logical choice for the GBA's last bang?

I agree, a "Lightning Yellow" would be the more logical path. And until I play PBR on the Wii, I will have to concede that, due to my experiences with Col. and XD, that Pokemon games are best left to handhelds.

I agree with you that I don't want to buy a new console every time a pokemon game comes out (I don't even have a gamecube) but I would really want a GSC remake for GBA, maybe we could take advantage of the DS's Upload feature and make Silver for GBA and Gold for DS, Pleeease Nintendo I'm begging you *starts trying to design his own on the net* *screws that idea and just starts saving*.

While we will see games for the Wii, Pokémon is primarily a franchise on the portable consoles. The current Nintendo portable is the DS so that's where the main focus should be (and currently is).

You really live up to your signature don't you. A bit of cynicism is OK but your like this on almost all the threads I've been on. Truthful though.

Good point. Maybe I should read a dictionary or something. But you have to admit, it kind of smashed my dreams (yes, I am going mad. Yes, my friends are to blame. Yes, I leave my brain at school for the weekend).

I dunno, there are two games that I'd do anything for on the Wii for Pokemon, and I'm confident they will focus on the DS... but in truth this is what I want from the Pokemon Company/Game Freak:
    Wii
    1) A free Roaming RPG similar to the main game...
though being a side story and updatable through online or expansions. It would be a half-online RPG in the way that you can meet up with, or randomly have people on your buddy list cross over in the game. It sets itself up like an online pokemon game, without letting you completlely distroy an evil force, but is mainly offline (just active with WiiCon). The game is complete with minigames and new jobs (like photographer, breeder, research scientist, coordinator, etc., and you can hold up to 3/4 at any given time), which let you buy and use certian items, it also can change relationship with your monsters. Most minigames are from older games, but are fixed up as new in 3D with the remote. It should be a big nintendo project, and subscription free.

2)A new Pokemon Ranger inwhich you do a 3D version of the capture stylus: It becomes your pointer, and you get new abilities like a block in which you point at a coner to keep a pokemon from excaping. You spin it in the air to get it to rotate faster. The game has you playing a park ranger though, sent to check out a disturbance. It uses a wireless mike to give voice commands to the one monster you have, and in this game you are alowed to use it for battle in an action RPG form(the monster you get you get to choose)

    DS

I really want to see more of other things from GF:
    Pulseman II
    Drill Dowzer II
    some new stuff...
    Also more Pokemon
(and a good Hey You Pikachu DS would be a cool idea from the PC, with creative DS minigames and interactions I think it can be made more fun)

DS and Wii obviously. Why focus on the GBA when the DS is capable of everything and more you could do on the GBA?

But, I too hope for a Wii Game which would be like the GBA games. Hopefully a brand new open region with Pokemon mixed from all over.

I want a good original Wii Spin-off, or Wii Snap.

Wii-Snap is THE most obvious choice for a pokemon spin-off. I mean, what better way could there be to use the Wiimote?

Actually, I think Ranger makes more sense, and is more timely, as a Wii spin-off of an existing Pokémon game.

Spin-off wise I would say I'd like to see a new snap on the Wii, and also a nintendogs/Hey You Pikachu type game on the DS, where you raise a pokemon and compete with it in contests.

I'd like Nintendachu...although I hope someone comes up with a better name. But I would really like snap or ranger on the wii.
