Sprites are weird like that.

Silver was given red eyes in the intro to HGSS, when he has grey in his artwork.

Thorton needs a confirmation. I.. Have no idea what's up with his hair.

Someone should ask Sugimori about Leaf while we're at it, what's up with her.

Ahaha, I heard about this just a few weeks ago. I was honestly convinced that was hair. Kind of like how I genuinely thought Silver wore a skirt until just recently.

I have always known it was a hat, his backsprite shows some black hair..

What's up with what? Red's redesign and Leaf's slight redesign was made so that they'd resemble gender-swaps of each other.

Found this out a few years back. I really thought it as hair and it looked really good.

Hehe, I found this out a long time ago while reading Pokemon Special.

"Ruby" as he is called in that manga, wears it for a special reason. So it surprised me too, needless to say.
