Thread: A second request to join Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis

Hello Bulbapedia and Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis members,

I’m the creator of 神奇宝贝百科 ( wiki.52poke.com ), a Chinese Pokémon encyclopedia and MediaWiki installation.
It has been 4 months since our first request to join Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis. We keep working hard on everything related to Pokémon. We did a lot on our Generation V coverage. And now it has nearly 3300 articles.

With the help of Bulbapedia’s great templates (we credits Bulbapedia in our General Reference, Template Category and articles translated from Bulbapedia), we re-wrote our Pokémon articles with detailed game data and Learnset of every generation.

The Move articles are also re-written, with detailed information and Learnset of Generation IV and V. We also have new Ability articles, and a great deal of Locations, Characters, Anime episodes. We also covered most Berries, TMs, HMs, and many other kinds of Items.

Besides the superiority mentioned in our first request, there are more things remarkable in 神奇宝贝百科:

1. For both Simplified and Traditional Chinese
Like the Chinese (Mandarin) Wikipedia, both Simplified and Traditional Chinese users can read and write 神奇宝贝百科 with their familiar writing system. And now we have contributors from mainland China and Taiwan collaborating smoothly.

2. Usage of official names
We try our best to collect Pokémon terms from official sources. Not only the names of Pokémon, we use official names of Moves, Abilities, Characters, Locations and terminologies as long as there is one. We are one of the only few fansites to do so.

3. Well organized
(almost) All our articles are well organized in the category system similar with Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis wikis. Readers can find what they want by click the category title or search easily. And that brings convenience to deploy interwikis.

4. Keep updating
Since we switch to MediaWiki in late Augest last year, we already have more than 16,000 updates. That means more than 100 per day on average. We keeps updating to fulfill our plans, bring whatever Pokémon updates, and be the best Chinese wiki for Pokémon.

Pokémon is a big universe. There are still a lot of things to do for us, and there will never be an end. We will always keep working hard. I believe 神奇宝贝百科 can be a qualified member of Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis.
