The following introduction is from awhile ago. However, Project Leaders are still very much in effect. The list of current Project Leaders is up to date, and we are always taking submissions.
In a recent AIM discussion regarding Bulbapedia developments, I suggested an idea that was met with interest and acceptance. So, for the sake of those not gifted with the ability to chat on AIM, I figured I'd post the idea here for further comment and suggestion.
Alright. So, everybody knows how Bulbapedia has Projects, right? And for these projects, we have "founders" and "other members." Often, the "founder" is someone who no longer has any affiliation with the project, doesn't do most of the work, or has left the 'pedia altogether. This poses a problem for those who have to ask a question about the project. Who do they ask when the founder is inactive?
That's why we need a new group of users. These users will have no technical powers beyond what they already do, but they will have additional authority in matters regarding the project that they lead. I propose that these users be referred to as "Project Leaders." Makes sense, right? :D
So, here's the list of projects that need leading and the leaders as selected by myself and the rest of the Editorial Board. I'll update the list as we go along and select more leaders. If anyone has submissions for a position, complaints, requests, questions, comments, suggestions, etc., please post. Thanks!
