Ground type has 59, pokemon and is the 7th most common.
It is between Bug, 63 pokemon, 10.48%, and Poison 57 pokemon, 8.78%
However it is reported that Ground type is 6.09% which when compared to bug and poison type % is rendered obsolete. Can someone change this? I am not sure if this is the right section and apologize if its in the wrong section.

its the right section (though you should have used the suggestion thread, or the BP talk page of the article), but Bulbapedia is a wiki, you have the ability to edit it yourself.
Percentages are in process of changing due to the new generation, so no wonder if there are some inconsistences.
Also, a lot of Bug were introduced in Gen V...
We can likely automate the percentages based on the amount of Pokémon in the categories. I'll look into it (or get one of my minions to do so...)
