The 2-part anime special about Ben's debut as a Pokémon Ranger has been dubbed, and can be viewed at: http://www.pokemon.com/us/tv-episodes/watch/
As I said in the other thread in the news forum, this site's streaming is extremely bad, to levels it's almost impossible to watch anything there (at least to me)
I sure hope they air it on TV or release it on DVD sometime cause otherwise I might not be able to watch it...
Anyway, I wonder why he didn't keep this Pichu for his DP episode
I'm still keeping this up.
At least until Monday.
It's good for what it was. I think this would've been better as a 30 minute special instead of two five minute segments. It could've ended the same way, but we would've had more time to get to know Ben and Pichu.
Didn't the narrator in the original version say that you have to play the game to see what happens? I guess that's too blatant an advertisement for TPCI, even though this didn't air on TV.
Well in the original, the game hadn't come out yet
while ours has been out for a month
Oh and look, they finally pronounced Raikou correctly
then again, that was 4kids mistake
So, glad to see this dubbed! Honestly, I would have prefered this being on DVD as a pre-order bonus, but this will do. ;) Wonder how long they plan on keeping this up? Surely not forever, right?
Don't really care for using the narrator being used to explain concepts. I understand that it's just a short special, but it's just rather jarring considering how rushed it is. Doesn't really matter since this is more obviously a commercial than the anime tends to be, but it's really too bad this couldn't have been longer. These shorts tying in with the spin-off games are good for what they are and all, but they just show what great potential there is for anime adapatations that actually adapt the entire game. But what can you do? *shrugs* Better than nothing.
Aw, Ukulele Pichu's adorable. Anyone else find it funny how it just bypasses the whole "attack the Pokémon the villian is using, not the villian themselves" tradition and just blasts that girl?
Also, not having played the game, are these two Pokémon Pinchers meant to simply being common grunts, or are they two individual characters? I'm assuming the former, but just wondering.
Raikou's entrance is totally a shout-out to Legend of Thunder.
It'll be a little sad if this episode will be lost forever after they get it off the site... I hope they include it as a bonus in the Season 12 DVDs, whenever they decide to release this season... but yeah, I guess it's unlikelyQuote:

Watched it a few days ago, and it was enjoyable for what it was. Still wished it was the same length as a normal episode and the Mystery Dungeon specials, instead of two 4-5 minute shorts combined to make one, that way we would have gotten to know more about Ben and the Pichu.
The special itself doesn't actually say that. Those comments about having to play the games to get the rest of the story came from the live action Pokemon Sunday segment that aired after the special.Quote:

I've downloaded the video from the site and am pending conversion so that I can upload it to YouTube for you guys.
EDIT: If TPCi takes it down, feel free to send me a message and I'll send the file to you.
Please don't. That's very illegal.
