    LOL, Jo-Jo.

    XD

Heh, that's cool. I didn't know so many people still use those terms when they're older. ^^

I don't use them though, cause I only say mom and dad. I'm used to calling my parents that. XD

And yes, I thought of that too. Her name's Nicolette, huh? Hey, that sounds like Nicorette gum!! I even laughed, thinking about it when they first said her name. XD

I don't say Mom and Dad, I call them Jailer and Warden.

    ...

    In my mind.

...so. How about let's not talk about old VAs, shall we?

I got the weird sound skip too. Well, it's better than two-minute thunderstorm warnings that are always on the first thirteen channels. -_-

I cringed every time to the dad in MEA talked. The son in WEEKEND WARRIOR (awesome name!) I didn't really mind.

Glad to see the TR dodginess is back! "You're a pain to me too but I won't say where, kids watch this show!" or whatever Meowth said made me laugh. :P

You know what though, I bet if Nicolette's VA went down lower, she could probably do Ash's voice (and even imitate Veronica's Ash). It just sounds like she could do that, and much better than Sarah could, in my opinion.
That thought crossed my mind too actually. Sarah just doesn't fit the part, IMO. I think maybe it's just too hard for her to get her voice lower, so it's just really really forced.

"You're a pain to me too but I won't say where, kids watch this show!" or whatever Meowth said made me laugh. :P
It's like a flashback to the old days of season one, back when they would constantly make reference to it being a TV show.

^ Yes, I completely agree, YumeHeart. You can definitely tell that Sarah is forcing herself to get the voice out, and it shows terribly.

I think the main thing is, if she feels that she has to force herself to do Ash's voice, then the truth is, she really isn't cut out to be the voice of Ash. It's just impossible for her to to do the voice right and get down that low.

She needs to let someone else do his voice, someone who can do it correctly and bring the Ash I know back into the show. And above all else, they need someone who can really bring Ash to life.

If not Veronica, then they could at least hire someone who can put emotion back into Ash's lines, and someone who will also get that same sounding, "original" voice feel that I love so much.

Anyway, I thought that line was funny too, Lil Brother! ^_^

That definitely sounded like something Meowth would say.

And yes, maybe it would be better if we didn't talk about the old VAs or the VA situation much, since I'm very sensitive to that subject.

Also, it doesn't help that Ash's new voice is so bad, emotionless, and lifeless either.

But, I'll try not to think about that too much, cause all it will do is make me sad again (though, if everyone else continues to talk about this, then I will too).

Instead, I'll only think about the good things I liked about these episodes.

And that's a shame, since I always thought that guy was hilarious, with his famous one liner, "Remarkable".
In Japanese, his line is, "Ya, suki desu ne." ("I like it.") The one time he said something different, during the stalemate between Jessie and Harley, when he said, "Not remarkable at all" in the dub, his Japanese line was "Suki ja nai desu ne." ("I don't like it.")

It's surprising it was changed, since Jimmy Zoppi did it back for 4Kids, and he's now with PUSA as Billy Beach.

At the very least, is it more feminine?

Yeah, I know about that, Geodude. ^^o

Remember, you told me about it before, in the Ash Club I think.

I guess you could say I was referring to how, most of the time, in the dub he only has that one word/phrase. XD

....reminds me of when Scott imitated him in Rivals Forever...

By DAMNED if that wasn't the single most funniest thing I heard, I burst out laughing.

Dammit, I missed the first episode. I'll tape it later...

May's VA is doing so much better. Thumbs up for her. I thought Combusken sounded too much like a chicken. I know, it is a chicken, but still... it was an annoying chicken.

I'm still not used to the writing yet. ^_^;; It seems as if they're trying to make it a lot more colorful than the old English script, which in turn (I think) was more colorful that the Japanese. It fits in some scenes but throws me off in others.

These episodes weren't that bad for me. I just have a few nitpicks that I have to point out that are good/bad:

    - First off, one major thing I noticed was that James' voice in both episodes was very bad. It sounded like he just woke up and had to perform that role. Didn't sound good at all.

    - We also got to hear the Japanese name of Beedrill in the episode, going "Spear!" That was a nice addition in my opinion.

    - Throughout the whole episode of Weekend Warrior, I didn't see Team Rocket's purpose of being in it at all. They didn't do anything in it, or barge into the contest at all to make it worthwhile. It was just odd.

    - I really did like that line when TR was getting blasted off when Meowth said that he couldn't say where because it was a kids show. That was a nice crack up for a few seconds.

    - I really liked the whole use of the rock guitar as well. That just made the episode for me because I like guitars like that, and good old Classic Rock.

So yeah, that's pretty much my critique on these 2 episodes, and the main thing that needs to be fixed still is just some of the voice actors roles. Other than that, the episodes themselves are pretty good.

Beedrill has always kept his original voice.

Oh? I guess I just never really heard it say "Spear" before, lol. I think I'm just used to hearing it as "ch-kt" or something like that.

She's not going to give up what many would consider to be a dream job. Especially since she probably has bills to pay.

Am I the only one who laughed at how ridiculous that was?
