"Hikari - Setting off on a New Journey!" & "Nibi Gym - The Greatest Crisis Ever!"

Oddly enough, I had no idea there was even a shiny Ariados in the Dawn special. Whether I was just too tired or too bored to notice... or if it was because there were just a lot of them. Either way, that really shows how much the Dawn special didn't reach out to me; totally missing a shiny appearance is just sad both on my part and this episode's.

I think what I paid attention to the most was Dawn and the annoying bratkid celebrating as Quilava burned dozens upon dozens of Ariados to a crisp. Okay, they weren't graphic about it of course, but something just seemed off about that scene. XD Given that this is like the fourth time or so this has happened with Dawn, though, she must really friggin' hate the Ariados species by now.

I agree with the user who said she should've caught one to make it full-circle. If only they could be that deep... though sometimes they can be. I'll just chalk it up to the crap writer Musashi namedropped.

And so their journey comes to a close...

Dawn-Let's see how many eps we can copy at once! Another Dawn vs. Johanna battle (albeit this one shows at least that Dawn has improved somewhat. It's just that Pip and Cynda can't get along). A complete retelling of the beginning of DP. If I were Dawn, I'd want to destroy all Ariados by now. Oh dear gosh, kickbutt shiny. Cynda evos and even learns Eruption. I'm indifferent about her heading to Hoenn. Nice secondary wrap-up for her.

Brock-Aww, he's kept pictures of all the different groups. In Soviet Russia, you cure Nurse Joy! *Croagunk Poison Jab ensues* Geez, how incompetent can Brock's parents get? Forrest must prove he can be the Gym Leader now. She has a Latias. o.o Ooo, nice tactics against a legend. Ouch, not good enough, though. And the problems of Pewter Gym are solved. (Finally I hope)

Meh, the Dawn special left a bad taste in her mouth.

Oh yeah, lets send Dawn to Hoenn like we sent May to Johto!

Because its now an almost carbon copy of May's departure. I knew this would happen.

This special should have been about Dawn reuniting with Ambipom, that would have been more interesting.

The Brock special was definitely the best :D

How is it a copy of May? May left cause she decided to travel alone and she followed her rivals, Dawn didn't want to split up with Ash and Brock and she doesn't seem to follow her rivals at all

Ambi's story concluded...

I think the Dawn special proves that the writers have run out of ideas for Dawn eps, without doing a second Contest arc (which obviously won't happen), so I doubt we'll be seeing any more after this.

Her rivals are all pretty much wrapped up, and given they wouldn't put any of them in this one, seems like they have no desire to use them. Shame, I would have liked to see more Ursula, but oh well.

And yeah, I'm certain Dawn's team is done. Buneary is obviously never going to evolve at this point, and we saw her Cynda evolve once, that's fine. Piplup/Mamo/Togekiss/Pachi are done.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is it for Dawn.

They should have at least showed Ambipom.
