DP 190 "Pokémon Doctor - Takeshi!" Review Thread

Its funny how many times Brock has actually been exposed to the idea of a doctor throughout the series. Remember when Misty compared Melanie, the first girl Brock was seen to crush on, to a Pokemon doctor? Then there was the short tenure with Doctor Proctor when he had to temporarily become a Pokemon doctor instead of one for humans. And of course, Pinch Healing, where even Oak remarks how good Brock is at tending to sick Pokemon. Funny its only now that a girl suggests it that he sees the possibility.

I enjoyed this episode, and it perfectly shows what Brock is capable of doing when they decide to do something with his character. I personally liked that Happiny evolved, even if it took 152 episodes to do so. I do hope that Brock's role as a doctor, and considering how he's seems better at that, I think that's a right career choice for him to make.

Damn was this episode badly animated. I mean, really! The animator did a good job with DP171 so I guess they were just on a low budget and had to hurry...

Otherwise, it was a good episode.

Brock is like that, if a girl tells him jump he asks how high. It was always going to take a pretty girl to get Brock to consider becoming a pokemon doctor.

Maybe its a sign of Gen III remakes? That would be the obvious reason but I think it was just a concidence.

Well you can get a lava cookie in the current games. In Platinum it was Veilstone City, and in HGSS you can get one through Pokewalker.

I thought it was nice since they didn't bring it up in Hoenn (if I remember correctly).

Grr Takeuchi, I am dissapoint. I did like the fact they used Kaze to Isshoni. I wasn't expecting Happiny evolving, but it was nice that it did. There was just too much convenient things here though. Meh. Sayanora Takeshi, may you finally get a girl of your dreams.

EDIT: Where on earth are people getting the idea that "LAVA COOKIE = RSE REMAKE"? That's extremely stupid since you can get lava cookies in the Gen IV games as well.
