I think they strongly implied at the Snowpoint episodes that Zoey and Candice were a lesbian couple. It was pretty much as implied as Drew's interest in May was.
There was a point I thought so too, but I ended changing my mind when they met that trainer I forgot the name in Houen's Grand Festival. For some reason I can't remember much of their interactions during Battle Frontier so I might be forgetting something...
