DP 177 "Decisive Battle! Hikari VS Nozomi!!" Review Thread

A secondary character/rival has never said the title of an episode before..I was simply asking if nozomi reading the title is a foreshadowing of some kind that she wins....

Wait--what? Zoey's Kirlia evolved into Gallade prior to this match? Judging by the dodging and thrown attacks involved, this is going to be a great battle. I have a feeling Dawn is going to win this.

I don't think this battle will be able to top Absol/Flygon vs Combusken/Squirtle, but it may come pretty close to it. Once again we have Iwane in charge of the massive final battle, and once again, we have a fighting type in it. The more melee combat in a battle, the better. Gallade alone should make this battle pretty badass. Hopefully Ash/Brock will be somewhat quiet this time so the battle can get more intense.

Too bad Dawn's going with Piplup, would've liked to see a Mamoswine/Togekiss combo for some more powah.

Zoey's Kirlia..Was male? Darn it. Why couldn't he evolve into a Gardevo-..Wait, no, that wouldn't fit Zoey.

This battle looks interesting. A lot of punches are being thrown and I don't see that many dodges or stopping moves.

Why wouldn't it? She's facing her rival in the finals..who she's never beaten before. She's either gonna win, or they're gonna go the cheap way and make it a tie or something. There's an extremely high chance of the former.

Fake Out Nyarmar looks cool and so does Erlade. Togekiss seriously doesn't; I'm not big on it being in this at all.

I love how the only combination that we have seen a glimpse of Hikari using is some (very boring looking) Peck/God Bird stunt while Nozomi seems to have a few judging by the preview.

I think Zoey narrating is just trying to give her a great send off.
I do think Dawn will end up winning so if she does leave will be able to be happy for her. IF she does win, this will be the first of the main character to win a goal of there's. Guess will wait for next week to find out.

I loved how Dawn and Zoey narrate the next ep preview together... it really emphasize their relationship and the importance of this battle

Zoey: Finally, this day came, Dawn!
Dawn: Yes, I didn't forget about our promise to meet in the final! (then she says something like "now let's do our best" but I'm not sure)
Zoey: (first part I can't understand) Glameow, Gallade, ready go!
Dawn: Piplup, Togekiss, charm up!
Zoey: Next time on Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl
Dawn: "Rival Battle! Dawn VS Zoey!"
Zoey: Everyone, get (catch) Pokémon...
Dawn: Dai-jou-bu! ("no need to worry")

Totally loved this preview... the dub miss so much by not dubbing these previews
This preview really make me even more excited for the next ep than I already was!
