Hey, Bulbapedia admins! Since the wiki is protected, can you add to the trivia that "Le Chat Noir" is meaning for entertainment house and there is back cat on it's logo. Choroneko is black cat after all! Search Chat Noir in Google Images and u will see!
Unlike what others have said, this episode does develop Cilan and his fear. The first time we found out about his fear of Purrloin, he hung back and didn't continue with the group. Understandable, but it didn't tell us much. This time, his job was involved and his beliefs were on the line, and he displayed that those were more important to him than his fears. That says a lot about his character.
Not really. Cilan already solved the problem. The battle was used as a distraction so Iris and Ash could have more time to find Momocchi's Foongus to prove Pinot Noir wrong. Purrloin was only sent out for some laughs to lighten up the mood. All Cilan did was send out his powerhouse Crustle to use the same strategy of Shell Smash+X-Scissor, which I think was an extremely stupid choice because it made the battle end faster, making Iris and Ash have less time to find the Foongus and prove Pinot Noir wrong.

Hmm.... All right!
What a funny episode!!!! It will tommorrow. Pinot Noir is like a dog. I guess Cilan has the nose of a Bloodhound since he has a powerful nose (I recall him sniffing Dwebble and Basculin shortly after capturing them). The girl is cute but her eyes scare me. Pinot Noir is out of place but he'd be a perfect rival. Why a CoTD? Burgundy giving us a trip down memory lane by acting like Team Rocket in the good old days (even the blast off part). Why would he marry his Gothitelle?
