I liked this episode.
First, the gathering of rivals...:DDDDDDDD It was very nice seeing all the main characters and their rivals together. I liked the way Bel interacted with everyone especially; her going after Zorua was priceless. I like that she also mispronounced Kenyan's name. ^^ Langley was as bitchy as ever; her interactions with Iris amused me. My only complaints were 1) that Cabernet didn't get to interact as much as everyone else did (but I'll let that slide since she got to battle Satoshi in this episode), and 2) Shooti was incredibly nonexistent to me (in fact, I almost forgot to include him in this review). Speaking of Cabernet, I thought she was much more mature this time around than she was in her debut; I'm glad she seems to have chilled out a bit while still retaining some of her craziness. Oh, and Miruhog guy winking at Iris? xDDD
Next, the battles. Langley's battle against that CotD wasn't very good, but the conclusion was pretty funny. Tsunbear didn't even get a hit in on Bachuru; it just falls on and squishes the crap out of the poor thing. ;_; I enjoyed Satoshi's battle against Cabernet pretty well. I liked how she first had Muland use Thunder Fang on Gamagaru, then quickly had it change to Ice Fang; good strategy. It did irk me a bit how Gamagaru didn't exhibit any of its smugness from its capture episode, though; it would have been nice to see it use a fourth move here, as well.
Lastly, the feathers. All I really have to say about them is that I hope they're used to bring back the Koaruhie sometime in the future. :P
Overall, an enjoyable episode that I thought was a good setup for the rest of the tournament.
