BW 021 "Sky Arrow Bridge and Gothiruselle!"



Continuing on the road to Hiun City, Satoshi and his friends come across the giant bridge known as the "Sky Arrow Bridge." The bridge is hidden in a dense fog, making it difficult to see. Wanting to hurry up and cross it, Satoshi carelessly runs ahead without thinking. As they begin to cross, Satoshi and his friends are attacked by the astral body pokemon, Gothilselle! Satoshi has no choice but to return fire with his Tsutarja. Suddenly, a light envelops everyone and appears to transport them back to the foot of the bridge! When they look around, everyone sees that something's off. At that moment, a girl named Sally calls out to them! When they turn around to look at her, they see that the Gothilselle who attacked them before is standing by her side, smiling!

Yep, this was a filler. Or maybe not, seems like Ash recalled Mamepato! *parties*

I'm kinda annoyed that Dento got the most of talk, though I guess he is the smartest one in the trio. The girl and Gochirozeru were cute together, though. :)

It was a nice ep! But its stupid that Ash needs 100 eps to figure out tha he doesn't have to attack constantly , so he must wait and use his pokemons great defense!

He and Snivy attacked and just attacked! Come on he knows better than that! I like the spinning leaf blade and the leaf storm! Nice done, and why he didn't used attract?!

But after all a nice ep!

Yeah, it seemed like the kind of episode where you really need to understand Japanese to fully appreciate it.

You know, considering the fact Skyarrow Bridge is massive and it's the only way into Castelia I was surprised to see that Ash and friends were always the only people using it.

Also, can anyone confirm which Pokémon Ash sent back to Juniper at the beginning of the episode?

It was a cute story, but it felt like I was watching some other anime instead of Pokemon. Not that that's a bad thing, it was a nice change of pace.

Glad Mamepato is back. At least one argument can kinda end.

Well, I don't know what the hell went on much with this episode, because it kept freezing. Damn you keyhole tv :|

But I did chuckle at the preview for the next episode, because Ash getting hit with Ranpura's Shadow Ball made my night/morning. He probably got hit because he was doing that Ash thing, where he stupidly runs in the middle of an attack, because he lacks common sense and seriously needs to be checked in the head thinks stopping Pokemon from doing what they were born to do will help the situation and this bout of stupidity Ashness, somehow gets him all the Pokemon. Shooti has a Ranpura. Shooti has a freaking Ranpura! I love him even more now than I did before. Shooti appears next episode! Yay! <3

From what I'm assuming, Ash sent back Kurumiru[Sewaddle] for Mamepato[Pidove]

You can say I thought it was boring because it was all talk. But um, as Cilan proved on BW019, talking can be interesting.

This was boring, because I'm not sure I cared about the girl and her apparently dead Gothitelle (though that was probably a surprise and a half when it just disappeared). It was also boring because Snivy didn't get to battle all that much since her last battle was against Trip.

And the only thing that could save this from being a filler episode is Sewaddle being rotated for Pidove.

Of course that brings up one simple question: Did the manga lie about Swadloon, sure it might be possible for two of Ash's Pokemon to evolve, but what happened to Swadloon? I thought something was going to happen with Pidove in this episode but it was just switched out

I'd rank this as my least favorite episode of Best Wishes. The Darumanitan episode was far better, probably because of the inclusion of all of Ash's Pokemon.

I'm not going to say it's badly horrific but two things: 1. It was boring 2. What the hell happened with the Time Travel stuff? One minute their in the past, next moment they are back in the future, the only thing I can tell it was some manipulatable memory with Ash and them using the ferry across.

To those saying that Ash will never use his Pidove again, seems the writers really want her to be used from time to time. I really hope the writers would do this in the case that Ash does catch more pokemon.

As for the actual episode itself, yes there was a lot of talking and the plot in of itself is confusing. Even though this is yet another time travel plot, for some reason this time it felt differently than everything else we have covered in Pokemon. I appreciate that the writers decide to take this direction temporarily.

At the very least, Snivy gets some of the screentime that was denied to her over the past few episodes.

In my opinion, the reason why the writers are having Ash catching more Pokémon than normal is that they don't want Ash to just use the same six Pokémon in the Unova League but also don't want him to call upon his reserves back at Professor Oak's when the time comes.

I think again, and yes, this can't be a filler because of Mamepato's back to team. Writers really know their work...

And about time travel: Is that real, or just a illusion from Gothiruselle? Is she dead?
