BW 018 "Yaguruma Forest! Kurumiru and Arti!!"

As Satoshi and his friends head toward Hiun City and its Pokemon Gym, they come across Kurumiru, the "sewing pokemon," in the Yaguruma Forest. Satoshi gets fired up by the pokemon's strong refusal to give up and decides to follow it deep into the forest. When he does that, however, he gets himself lost in the maze-like forest! In order to get back to the path they were on, the three weary travelers decide to climb a tall tree to have a look around. However, what Satoshi finds isn't a road, but a giant mass of leaves danging from a branch! Suddenly, the mass of leaves unfurls and the Hiun Gym's Gym Leader Arti makes a grand entrance! As they all continue through the forest together, Satoshi and the others come across that same Kurumiru again...

    *facepalms*

Ash caught the Kurumiru, and seems like he left Zuruggu at Araragi's lab.

    Holy... God... Fuck.

I'm glad they really felt it was necessary to demonstrate you can only have a team of 6 by giving him another pokemon. I'm just ecstatic about it really.

Well what else is there to say but..

Holy crap, he actually caught it!

That being said, decent episode. Iris has an... interesting way of finding her way around. The animation in the forest was absolutely gorgeous, too.

He never said which pokemon he sent to the lab. It could be any of his six pokemon. Well, other than Pikachu, of course.

    ... or invisibird.

It's not Zuruggu or Oshawott though. They were in the preview.

Negaishippers are going to love this episode...I wonder why the pokéball didn't disappear like when Satoshi caught that Krabby, some 13 years ago...

Ranma ½, Maison Ikkoku and now TORADORA! fan.

As much as interesting the aspect of rotation in Isshu sounds, this really lowers the chances of other Ash's Pokemon getting screentime or even evolving. :/

I'm really hoping they're capable of pulling this. It seems a lot more like they give pokemon personalities that seem fun in their introductory episode, and then kinda scrap it as they come to terms with not actually being able to juggle them all. I mean it is kinda a throwback, so that's a bit nice, but it's going to blow once they come to terms with not being able to develop his team while rotating it.

Also, I really liked the way kurumiru slept hanging from the tree.
