BW 017 "The Wild Child that Hatched From The Egg!"

Something amazing is happening to the egg Satoshi got when he helped out Yuri the kindergarten teacher. Everyone's attention turns toward the egg when it starts to shudder and glow brightly. Kibago is especially happy at the addition of a new friend and watches it eagerly. The light coming from the egg begins to flash quickly, indicating that it's about to hatch! Kibago gets so excited that it accidentally bumps into the egg, causing it to roll away at an amazing speed! Satoshi and his friends quickly run after the rapidly accelerating egg as it bounces off a slope and soars through the air! The egg will shatter if it hits the ground, putting everyone in a big pinch! What in the world will happen next?!

*Iris and Kibago you little bullies. Fighting against a newborn baby :P

    *Yay another jerk pokemon...

*Kibago can't even beat a newborn?

    *Poor spiders...

*Relationships between Satoshi's pokemon = hillarious as always.

I really like the rivalry Kibago and Zurugu(sp?) developed.

I really like the interactions of all the Pokemon!

A draw. Again, Ash didn't beat a main girl.

Fun fact: the last time he did it (except double battles) was in season 3 (Misty).

Ash sure waited a while to put the little dude in a poke ball, I would have done it immediately. The interactions between zuruggu and ash’s other pokemon in this episode were just priceless. I especially liked the scene where they all worked together to fight off those denchura. Also a rivalry developing between zuruggu and Kibago will do them both some good in the future so lets hope that continues.

Oh dear Oshawott was absolutely hilarious in this episode, right when it got "headbutted" by Zuruggu, it just flipped it's lid, funniest reaction ever. Poor Pidove, and Tepig, they didn't want to fight.

And LOL at Snivy being the calm and collected one, and not letting Zuruggu anywhere near her.

And Denchura, damn, why did you have to have such a cool voice.....*sigh*

It was an okay episode, wish Zuruggu had better moves, but you know, whatever. And YAY a tie just like I expected.

Edit: Also Team Rocket got the most screen time in this episode than any other, excluding BW006, which doesn't count. Okay it does but still, a good 5 minutes I think of Team Rocket in this episode

Satoshi and friends was such a bully against these Denchuras. Why they attacked them?

He tried to, but it ran away from him when he tried. Satoshi thought it'd be better to wait until Zurug's ready to go into the Monster Ball before trying to get him to go in.

Dent (I think it was Dent?) also theorized that it didn't want to go into a Monster Ball so soon after hatching.

Because otherwise, Zurug would have gotten its ass beat. The Dentula outnumbered Zurug, what? Three to one? Four to one?

What did they say about the meteorite? Some translation would be nice, please?

Ok, here is the basic points of the episode:

    - The egg starts to glow, but then Kibago causes it to go rolling down a hill and almost smashes against a rock until Pikachu saves it using Quick Attack.
    - The egg hatches into Zuruggu, and it clearly doesn't play well with others. It disobeys Ash, attacks its team mates and refuses to eat with them.
    - I can't be certain, but Zuruggu seems to know Headbutt and Scary Face/Fake Out.
    - Zuruggu only starts eating when everyone else is asleep, but when Ash spots is and asks if it wants to go inside a Poke Ball it runs off and starts headbutting a tree causing a Denchura to attack it.
    - Elecball and ElecNet make their animated debuts. ElecNet is, obviously, an electrified net and Elecball is just an electric Energy Ball.
    - The gang catch up and scare Denchura away, but Zuruggu is hurt. The gang nurse it back to health.
    - Not one to back down, Zuruggu goes back to the tree and starts headbutting it again but this time wants to call out the Denchura... however it accidentally calls out the whole swarm.
    - Ash, Iris, Dent and Ash's whole team turn up (with the face mosaic from the preview of future events).
    - All the Pokemon work together to scare the swarm of Denchura away again (there's some pretty nice team work going on, particularly between Oshawott and Snivy).
    - Zuruggu finally accepts Ash as its trainer, but later when eating it and Kibago get into a scuffle. A battle is arranged.
    - The two battle against each other well (since they're both babies), but the battle ends when Kibago is headbutted while using Dragon Sneeze... I mean Rage, causing an explosion knocking both Pokemon out.
    - Ash captures a willing Zuruggu in a Poke Ball... which is kinda weird considering it should be registered to a Poke Ball anyway.
    - Meanwhile, Team Rocket meet up with Flint and a TR Professor who analyses the meteorite.
    - No Oak's Live Caster this week. Instead the Ash's Zuruggu Wi-Fi promotion is advertised.

The professor (Seger-Hakase, I think?) on the helicopter lab thing confirmed that the meteorite the trio stole however many episodes ago was indeed the one they were looking for. Then, they decided to fly to their next destination.

Of course, everyone was being as vague as possible.

Oh. Vague as always, oh well, at least Team Rocket got the most screentime of all episodes.

It knows Headbutt and Leer. In one of the funnier exchanges of the episode, Iris mentions how Zurug "only" knows two moves. This prompts Satoshi to point out that, hey, Kibago only knows two moves itself.

Were Dent's pokemon there? I don't remember seeing them at all in this episode.
