Well, the episode killed my hopes of having Iris as a powerful trainer hiding her power level. Her tag along Pokemon can't fight and her other one won't obey. Yet she calls others children. Hopefully, this little humbling will lead to far less bluffing in the future.

Still, having some actual focus on Iris as well as development was great. The episode makes up for 8 episodes of doing nothing, and hopefully they can build even more from here.

I was glad to see some Pendora focus, even if he was just a target for Kibago's Dragon sneeze. He's one of my favorite Gen 5 Pokemon and he was shown off as a pretty unstoppable badass here.

No Mijumaru was a well deserved break.

Haruka and Hikari was damsel-in-distress? Iris and Misty is more D.I.D. than any other girl...

Having Iris already be powerful at her introduction would be very boring. It's more interesting to see the development of a character then to have an already developed on stagnate.

Anyway, this episode was much needed to give some spotlight to Iris and Kibago.

That reminds me, it shows how different episodes are now without Team Rocket interfering.

Before, Team Rocket would've probably interfered and caused the twerps to team up with Pendra but now, with them gone, they settled things by kicking its ass. :0

I don't think so. Pendra is a jerk like Aggron in DP119.

Has there ever been an episode where Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyasu were given less to say? I think they only had about three or four lines in the entire episode!

Kasumi is 10. Iris was probably calling Satoshi a child because of the way he was acting, and I bet to try and hide her own failings.

The show has always allowed bowing. The last time I can recall it was that Nyasu in love episode when Musashi and Kojiro were thanking that girl for taking care of Nyasu.

Actually, Kasumi's age isn't need to be certain. She could used it as a roughly number..

Takeshi is fifteen, and Kasumi is ten.

    Now, back on topic, please.

    The first episode? Haha.

Anyway, it's not really about how much they've done, but what they've done... Obviously they are bliuding up to something.

Apparently they're investigating some kinda meteorite that broke the continents or something.

    Hey watched the episode...

    Good points

    - Ash, Iris and Dent's interactions were funny.
    - Team Rocket + Plot = Me Happy. Meteorite? Takuto clone? Desert Resort? I want to know more.
    - Doryuuzu has personality!

    Bad points

    - Everything else Well pretty much... but more specifically...
    - Kibago needs to be shot, be flayed alive, be thrown in a pool of acid, be burned alive, be thrown off the Empire State building and/or die in any other way stay lost in Iris' hair. There's nothing funny about it. There's nothing particularily endearing about it. I'm over it.
    - I'm sorta over Iris too. She's a funny character, nice interactions, but her sorta attitude towards training is boring. Like, you want your Kibago to evolve and becomes strong, you fucking train it. Want your mole to obey you, fucking work on that. I'm like not exactly rooting for her to suceed in her not a goal since she doesn't do jack towards it... Hey why not catch that Centipede Iris? You could have another pokémon you do nothing with!
    - Tsutarja? Where's your personality? You don't have Mijumaru to steal your spotlight, you shouldn't just be boring...
    - What the fuck was up with Ash v Pikachu... not funny... not interesting...
    - James needs to catch a pokémon soon... and more koromori!

You know... I won't even comment on that... I'll just marvel at the irony.

I think Kibago is very adorable for an infant Pokemon. Its a typical baby without being a, "crybaby" like Bonsly and Togepi were.

We all knew Iris wasn't going to be a really strong trainer at the start, this is the norm for the Pokemon girls.

Remember, Misty was also a weak battler in the beginning who only won matches because Psyduck saved her. So you can't fault Iris for being similar, even if she's not a beginner.

So I wasn't the only one who thought that? I'm glad. While Archaic and I were trying to watch this on Keyhole last night (the stream was horrible) I told him Kibago reminded me a lot of Paras from "The Problem With Paras".

Anyways, this was quite an entertaining episode and it's nice to see they gave Iris a focused episode at last.
