Thread: BW 001-002 "To the Isshu Region! Zekrom's Shadow!!" & "Iris and Kibago!" Review

So Rocket's Pokemon are gone without a question? Who cares.

I definitely believe this is a reboot. It feels so much like Kanto and not like the other seasons.

I love how serious TR are. I wonder what got into them. Maybe one too many bolts to the head? They seem even more serious and awesome then in their first episode.

And, it's been forever since they haven't blasted off.

But I am now proud to say that Mijumaru was my favorite of the Isshu starters from day one. :D

aww so team rocket really have left their old pokemon behind in Kanto :(

oh well since they each recieved three pokeballs we can assume that they will each capture 3.

Ash will capture at least 5 and we dont know about Dento or iris.

So we'll get at least 11 captures hopefully.

They actually "blasted off again" in DP191 the final episode of the DP series.

So now, why does it seem like Giovanni has just forgotten all about the TRio's many blunders over the years? He is treating the three like any successful agent! That is not the Giovanni norm!

Did you watch DP191? Because if you did it seems you've seemed to completely ignore the events that occurred in that episode (regarding Team Rocket anyway).

If anything the Team Rocket Trio are acting this way, is because Jessie lied to Giovanni in their reports that they took down Team Galactic and Pokemon Hunter J. And them acting more competent would actually be enough to fool Giovanni which is why they are most likely acting like this way.

What do you think will happen when Giovanni finds out "Jessie" Team Rocket lied when they said they took out Team Galactic? Giovanni is placing his trust in the Rocket Trio, if anything something like that would allow someone to act completely out of character (as you so put it). The trio are acting like this for Giovanni.

These episodes are amazing. AMAZING.

Iris is amazing, end off. Just from these two episodes, I already love her nearly as much as I love Misty and WAY more than I ever liked Dawn. In fact, I think she just overtook May's place as my second favorite. D: Sorry May, I still love you and you're still one of my very favorite characters, but Iris is just...damn. <3

Shooti is...really cute, oddly. I kind of want to give him a hug. And ship him with Ash. <33

Badass!Team Rocket was...well, badass. Sexiness all around. <3 Though I hope they're not ALWAYS this serious. I love funny TR.

Ash was also adorable in these episodes. And hilarious. :]

I want to know what happened to Team Rocket's old Pokemon. NAO.

Other than that, it was a great start to (hopefully) a great Pokemon Anime.

It's been explained so many times already. They were left at HQ so as not to draw attention.

Asd it's been said, that's because:

1. They lied to Giovanni by telling him they beat J and Ginga-dan, so they must act tough to keep the lie alive and don't let it fall.

2. They were promoted and given a special mission, which must have made them uber-happy and gave them a true motivation for putting their best efforts, which they are showing by finally getting serious.

BTW, I hope they're not demoted to comic mischief again in a couple of episodes.

I've only looked at the screencaps from filb and I'm already pumped about best wishes. I have to say I might just like watching Team Rocket again, giving them a fresh start. I just hope every episode isn't about catching pikachu with them, though. Mijumaru is as epic as I knew he would be. I was definately surprised to seem him running around following Ash. I guess he was thinking "Why did Ash not get a pokemon from the professor like the other kid did?" Shooti and Ash were smiling at each other. Smiling = not Paul, which should be a nice change from Paul for a while.

Overall, I'm excited about the new season, and I might just tune into it when it eventually reaches the US next year.

Can people please stop posting the same questions over and over and over again? "Why did Professor Oak and Delia go to Isshu?" "What happened to Team Rocket's pokemon?" "Did they say why Iris is going to travel with Ash?" "Did Ash get Mijumaru?"

These questions have all been answered multiple times. There's no excuse for the amount of reptition present in this thread.

I've stated several times that Nyasu is the only member of the trio who acted remotely like himself.

I'm talking about the Rocket-Dan's personality, not about the inanimate objects they have in their possession.

Saying their motto and trying to steal Pokémon was also everything they ever did so I can't see why it was out of character just because this time they didn't blast off.

Again, I'm sure this is all temporary, and the Rocket-Dan will be back to their old selves before long. But until that happens, I'm going to continue to be opposed to this new group who's "the Rocket-Dan" in name only.

Do you watch this show? Because the Rocket-Dan haven't been going after Pikachu in years. They pretty much only go after the electric rat while trying to capture other pokemon.

Opinions are like arses - everyone has them, everyone thinks everyone else's stink and it's not nice to have them forced into people's faces all the time. That goes for everyone really.

Only seen screencaps, but it looks pretty good so far.
