The script in this episode was much more accurate than the one for last week's.

Maybe the pottery itself is 200 years old, but the shrine is only about 100 years old?

Aren't there some pottery in real life that tell stories, whether it's an actual history of the people, or a mythological legend.

Maybe this pottery was valuable to the society because it depicted something important.

Or maybe like most stuff after decades and decades of aging, maybe the pottery was really beautiful at one point and was considered valuable.

Although since pottery has been found in real life of ancient civilizations, I'm not sure you really should be judging it here in the Pokemon world.

These potteries could be fetish objects or holy relics...

    Fetish objects? Really? >_>

Anyway, real arcehology is nothing like how it is in Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider or this episode. Very careful documentation is needed not only of the artifacts itself, but the surrounding area. In reality it takes weeks to uncover an artifact and make sure it isn't damaged.

I sorta winced when Baltoy slamed Claydol into the temple's floor like that, a real archeologist would freak...

Other then that, this episode was pretty neat. Good way of showcasing the final stat trainer when there's only room for one more filler in the saga.

Yeah, this would have been better as a two or three parter, because basically finding one over the course of less than twenty minutes would be an exaggeration.

This episode was surprisingly good. It was the one episode I wasn't looking forward to and it ended up being better than most of the recent ones I was looking forward to... I liked Buck---a lot!

And it was funny to see the lively gible again attack Piplup in order to find him. Hahahahhaha!
    Can you hear me?

Its kinda odd when you realize these are Dawn and Brock's last couple of eps in the series, and they get no real spotlight at all.

Since the league was going to be heavy-Ash, they could have done a few more Dawn/Brock eps before the end. Its like the writers stopped caring.

After the GF ended the writers didn't bother with Dawn at all again until the final episode.
