The whole Lick scene had me in tears, especially Brock's comment xP
It was awesome seeing Cynthia again. I'm so looking forward to Ash and Paul's battle.
Did anyone notice the weird way Conway was saying Dusknoir? It sounded like he was trying to put some kind of accent to it. Ash said it as "Dusk-noor" with the noor part sounding like door, but Conway kept saying it as "Dusk-new-ar" or some crap like that.
That "crap" is how you actually say the word noir...
Oh, well I've always heard it pronounced "noor" so it sounded weird when I heard Conway pronounce it. Crap wasn't really the best word to use. Something would have been better.
French for black, yes. Noir is pronounced as it's spelt - 'noir'. Don't know why on earth it'd be pronounced like 'noor'.
Finally these people pronounce Noir correctly

or better yet, save it for the battle against Paul?
ironically both pokemon and yu gi oh had a brawl against a character with glasses.ash vs conway and joey wheeler vs weevil underwood lawls
But I liked this battle a lot, it was hilarious. It'd be a bit more hilarious if dawn let conway tell her his "secret stratagie"with addition of a threat of some kindand we see her being a bit flinchy about telling ash the stratagie but hey thats my suggestion

That was a good episode. I remember loving Noctowl when I watched Johto when I was younger. Glad to see it doing awesome in this battle.
My only real complaints was Donphan doing basically nothing and Conway not having a proper goodbye. Other than that, fantastic battle.
Also, about Ultimate Challenge.....(NOTE: JP Dub Spoiler)
So you guys do realize that TPCI probably doesn't have the rights to 4Kids' old songs anymore and therefore can't use them, right? I'm not 100% of this, but I'm pretty sure they can only use music they've made themselves.
Also, what is it with this dub and not being able to mix the audio correctly? Turn the volume up on the song, and turn the volume down a bit on the sound effects and voices. It's not that hard.
Well, why don't they just get it? They deal with Pokemon now, and the first theme is kinda what started it all. 4kids has no use for it. Now, the background music they could use in 5Ds, but what is the point?Quote:

Ash's Gible cracks me up, love that little moron.
Ash's Noctowl makes a fantastic return. I love the way it was animated this time around, having the older Pokémon come back shows me how much nicer the show looks. Not a big enough deal was made out of it's shininess or size, though.
Ash's Donphan got the shitty end of the stick here. Poor little guy.
Over all I think it was a good League episode, the battles were interesting to watch and Conway didn't make my skin crawl too much. :)

Its really odd the only representation of Johto in the league is really down to three Pokemon, Heracross, Donphan and Noctowl.
Quilava's battle was a joke that lasted 10 seconds and it knocked itself out. Bayleef/Totodile don't get used.
I never would have believed the Johto mascots would be ignored in favor of the other 3 Johto Pokemon.
