Also, I hate how more recently, Dig seems to fail every single time it's used.

So it seems like Noctowl finally becomes the psychic bird it should have been 10 years ago.
Why Noctowl did nothing more than pop balloons back in Johto is besides me. Its actually sad when you realize how much wasted potential Noctowl was back in the Johto seasons.
At least Noctowl didn't get the Quilava treatment. The writers had to give Johto SOME representation this league, since Donphan was more or less part of Ash's AG team.
Don't like Donphan's new voice. Sounds bad.
Conway's Shuckle was great, but Noctowl should've been defeated by it, though.

Conway's dialogue at the end was really well executed in my opinion. Nice to know he has a hard drive for a brain :P
And CYNTHIA! I loved her in this episode. The way she was merchandise bait, and her indecisiveness and her...ICE CREAM. It was all cute, really...almost makes it easy to forget she has a monstrosity of a shark-plane in her arsenal.
Oh, and I think she rigged the competition. We all know that she pulled some strings to get Ash and Paul matched upbecause she's totally a comashipper too! WTH, she was like stalking at the end of the episode

Oh yah, and Gliscor. Almost forgot about this dude. I like how CN put that scene after the credits :P
I think we should give credit where credit is due. Kinoshita is often ridiculed for being one of the worst animators who works on the show, but I thought he did a pretty fantastic job on this one.
