Did Jessilina just make a Mr. Opportunity from Honda reference?

Yay! They kept that piece from when Salvia gives Jessilina her ribbon!

An excellent episode. Even if the Contest was a bit rushed.

Did they keep the same music opening from the Japanese dub?

If you mean saikou everyday, then no.
If you mean the title card music, then still no.

I think the bigger question is...why are there so many twins in the Pokemon world? Jessie has Jesselina, Max has that other Max from "Maxxed Out," and now Dawn has Princess Salvia. Ash has been mistaken for a few different kids as well.

If I was in their shoes and came across an identical twin that I didn't know about, I'd be making some phonecalls to my parents.

No, I meant the part where the narrator talks in the beginning.

That happens in the real world as well, it's just that we don't get to meet our "twin".
There is probably a person who looks like you somewhere in this world.

I 'met' mine. There was a child actor from a show many years ago that looked like me, i looked so much like her that my father's students used to think i was her.
I never questioned my parents about that.

Because pokemon world is part of anime universe and facial features are not detailed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that other Max didn't really look IDENTICAL to Max in the same way as Jessie/Jessiebelle and Dawn/Salvia are... so I'm not sure I'd count him (but I could be wrong, last time I watched that ep was when it aired in Israel back in 2005)

Well you and I both know that TPCi does the inevitable so I thought I should ask because Togekiss's voice sounds too cool to be replaced.

That doesn't make any sense. "Anime universe?" What?

    They look close enough.

TPCI doesn't keep most of the Japanese voices for the pokemon, even when their names are identical in both versions.

I know but I'm glad they kept Togekiss's voice.

Bulbapedia says they have the same VA but it could be wrong.

I liked this episode. Especially the princess' appeal. Jessie's appeal was a little generic I thought but the battle was good.

And was that how they've always animated Aura Sphere? It seemed kind of small to me.

I'm pretty sure they keep most of them. They didn't keep the voice of Uxie, for example, because they needed it to fit in with the others, but I always thought they kept the majority of the voices if they are in same in both English/Japanese.
