“Casting a Paul on Barry!” Review Thread

I've never heard 'data' be pronounced like that. Maybe it's just me. Though I did laugh how Brock was the only one who pronounced it the way I'd say it.

Anyway, really nice episode. I felt sorry for Barry and it was nice to see Paul be nice for a change. Glad Barry will stick around for a little. Conway is great as always - I can't wait for next week. Such a shame he left, though. hmph.

I waited for Ash vs. Conway throughout this whole episode because I forgot that that battle and the battle in this episode were in two separate episodes. So after more commercials I thought "that battle was shorter than I remember" and realized "OH, that's next week. Because THAT is the battle I'm looking forward to watching. One more week to go then.
This one was good though anyway, even if it was the lowest episode of the League in terms of battle anyway. And it did seem a bit cheap for Barry. But he's okay with it, so it's all good then.

Ugh. I don't know if they aired it that way, but I can't find the bit before the theme where Ash's Snorlax wins the skipped battle. Just when I thought Conway couldn't get creepier. Tobias...no -son. I'm impressed. OHKO. That had to hurt. I knew that Paul was just stalling. Barry's better than I thought, but no match for Paul. Pretty good. To be continued...

EDIT: Oh, and I once again say goodbye to Empoleon. There's a new kickbutt water starter in town.

That was a good episode, I laughed so hard! Barry is a really funny guy, seriously ^^ Still I think he did a bit bad job out there.. poor Empoleon. The battle though was interesting, even too short. And what! Paul said good words to Barry! I'm so impressed!

You know, it was sweet how excited Barry was about battling Paul. Lol. Isn't Barry older than Paul?
That Ursaring is very strong. All those hits from Hitmonlee and it didn't go down, also along with the burn, spikes and attacks from Empoleon. It also defeated Hitmonlee in one shot. Protect just seemed like a troll way of reuining it all for Barry.

An enjoyable episode indeed! No, that's an understatement as it really was a great and exciting battle which kept me at the edge of my seat.
Although I admire Paul for his strength, I wanted Barry to at least defeat Ursaring which is luckier than it actually deserves. Yes, it does have the Guts-ability, but nevertheless, we can't deny that said ability gets activated too often and I can't help thinking that the writers are starting to abuse it because it comes in so handy whenever they want Paul to sweep an opponent.

Anyways, a great and thrilling battle plus an entertaining Team Rocket with some clever marketing ideas (nice reference to modern capitalism btw )

I decided to go ahead and watch this dub episode and wow, I seriously love dub Barry almost as much as his original counterpart. He's funny, especially when he was like, "jealous..." to Brock, who stated he'd win first prize for sure if this were all a talking contest.

Of course, Conway is hilarious as well. Seeing him pop out of nowhere always puts a smile on my face.

I believe his final appearance is next week? He, hopefully will go down badly to Ash in a normal-paced battle.

Its too bad we never got an Ash Vs. Barry 6 on 6.

We also lost a battle for Bayleef/Totodile and Muk/Glalie because of it.
