I just love watching Barry get completely disregarded by Paul.

Well, the battle was a bit fast-paced, but overall it was a good battle. Hitmonlee really was entertaining!

...It didn't look like Empoleon was unable to battle. Is it a disqualification if the trainer runs on the field?

I liked the movepool of this episode.

Was half the episode battling and half of it dialogue? Although, I think a lot of the dialogue is necessary to set up future events.

I loved how Brock said, "Everything Barry chooses to do is going to be crucial" As if he really expected Barry to beat Magmortar, Empoleon and Ursaring with only Empoleon.

I really wasn't that impressed. The battle seemed rushed and they gave way too much time to Team Rocket.

I really got annoyed by Conway and his "Secret Strategy". I thought only Team Rocket had "Secret Strategies".

How much of Conway as an individual opponent have we really seen? We only saw him as Dawn's partner in the tag battles and as another trainer at the Summer School. We didn't really know much about how he'd act as a formidable opponent. We knew about him as a person, but not much as an adversary for Ash.

Conway can really annoy me. I can't wait to see Ash prove him wrong in his battle.

I know what you mean. When they were mentioning the spikes and how they worked, I felt like I was watching an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh where they were explaining a trap card.

Well, they do that often with Brock and many others in the battles.
