Best part of the episode by far.
Music aside, I thought this episode was dubbed quite well (altough I'd be oblivious to any dialogue edits). TR's dialogue was... less intolerable than usual, and as much as I hate Meowth's speech quirks, I thought him writing "dig" in his letter was quite humorous.
The story was... well it was okay. I liked Purugly's sudden personality change when it evolved. All in all, a decent way to break up the GF and the final gym battle.
I couldn't get over the fact that they made a filler about Glameow when we just saw Glameow right before in the Grand Festival and had Glameow shoved down our throats by Zoey and Johanna all throughout DP.
I got so sick of this cat by the time DP ended.
To be honest, I'm also perplexed by the amount of showcasing that one Pokémon received as well. It doesn't exactly help that I find Glameow to be a pretty dull Pokémon to begin with...
It seems to be a tradition. Any new cat Pokémon is going to be a subject of infatuation for Meowth. Had Team Rocket not become seriously competent in Best Wishes, I would expect a similar episode involving Choroneko.
As for the episode itself... I don't understand the hatred for it. Considering the major changes TR is going through in Best Wishes. You should note that this episode might be the last of it's kind. Cherish it while you can.

I haven't seen the episode, but it doesn't sound bad...
And Meowzy rejected Meowth anyway.
2... the last part of Kanto came in season 2...
Recycled fillers like this aren't the best eppys. The original was FAR more SUPERIOR. But, I guess dats because i'm an old-timer :D

Most of the lead-up throughout the episode wasn't exactly thrilling (Rapidash fantasy and the "Staraptor?"/"Togekiss?"/"BOOM!" moment aside), but this episode became massively entertaining when TRio and the twerps caught up with Meowth and Glameow. Meowth OHKO'ing Yanmega, Staraptor, and Togekiss was funny enough, but Purugly becoming a lazy, demanding bitch and the random things exploding sequence was a riot. XP
Not necessarily a bad episode or anything but it was a bit too slow. Still, it had its moments. Especially Meowth's obviously fake Boss Fantasy.![]()
It was super cute seeing him and Glameow on the rowboat too![]()
You know, it's kind of weird to get a Glameow story just one episode (in the original Japanese order) after the Grand Festival final where Zoey's featured so heavily... maybe it was just to remind the viewers that, despite Zoey and Johanna both having owned one for years, Glameow does actually evolve.
Seriously though, I thought this episode had a lot going for it. Starting the episode with Ash in the middle of a battle with Team Rocket was pretty neat (boy, he must have been wondering where they'd gotten to recently) and I laughed at the montage of things exploding when Meowth realised that Glameow had evolved and, as Dogasu said, it was nice to see someone actually recall a stolen Pokemon into their Poke Ball for once.
Ok, it's not the best episode ever nor is it the best Team Rocket episode ever but it's an ok effort regardless. I just think it suffers coming so soon after the Grand Festival episodes.

"He's really into her."
"Into what?"
"Just forget it Ash."
All right, Dawn! We FINALLY agree on something: that Ash is completely and utterly hopeless when it comes to love.
