“For the Love of Meowth!” Review Thread

This isn't too early, isn't it? I'll refrain from doing threads over a half hour before the episode from now on. If it is, I'm truly sorry.

Meowth falls in love in this episode with a Glameow. Yeah, the love episode that we have every year.

Very bad episode. The dialogue was horrible. I definitely prefer the Japanese version. It's so MUCH better. To add, they only used 2 pieces of Japanese music. That's a new record

I really wasn't amused by this episode. The dubbing wasn't all that great, the dub made the storyline dull and everything else.
Maybe it was a little better than last week's episode.

Strong Points

Also, the theme was really sudden, as well as the Crasher Wake fantasy.

Yes, although she did say that annoying word "dig" before giving it to James. I thought Meowth only talked like that, but wrote like that?

Also, my mistake, it was Meowth's speech, not tone.

I'm starting to believe TPCi reached its peak of keeping original BGM in the seasons 11 and 12. Back then they kept 45-46% of music, but this season? So far it's less than 40%.

It's really starting to be a serious dissapointment. How come they fell so low? Could the League salvage that? I have some doubts.

So what was Mamii called in the dub?

I liked how Mamii is actually one of the smartest COTDs, ever. Who else would think to recall their pokemon into its Monster Ball mere seconds after it's stolen?

Her name was Mamie in the dub. Pretty much the same thing as in Japanese, hust with an "e" instead of the second "i".

For me the best thing about this episode that was funny: Was Meowth's face turning all blue then those explosions. But everything else sucked.

I can't believe I'm the one who has to say this but... I thought this dub was really good for a Team rocket episode. I'm not quite sure how the dialogue was "off" considering this is how JJM always talk. Aside from a dumb line here or there I thought this was a great episode.

The only "complaint" I have is the same thing I said when this first aired a few months ago. Meowth sure is a disloyal jerk. Every time there's a chance to leave the team he always seems to jump on it and ditch his friends. And people say James is the one who would most likely do this?

The only one that made the episode seem really off and annoying to watch was Mamie. I don't know why, but she was just really annoying for some odd reason.

I absolutely loved how Meowth was able to give the other Pokemon some trouble during the fight. XD

Alright episode. Better than last week, that's for sure. Best parts:

*Meowth realising Purugly was his Glameow evolved, so the whole screen goes inverted color while they show random stuff exploding XD I was DYING at that scene.

And then there was this:

Dawn: He's really into her. (or something like that)
Ash: Into what?
Dawn: ...Just forget it Ash.

That poor, dense boy is still indifferent to love :P At least Dawn seems to be the first girl to be like "you know what? I'm not gonna bother anymore." Good for her :P
