Taco Has a New Pokémon Party!

After about 1 year, I did it!
I've been working on creating an amazing Pokémon party, and it's complete now! Just in time for the 2013 International Challenge!

My party is a Pseudo-Legendary theme! I've got Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Garchomp, and Hydreigon!

I haven't really done that much competetive battling. The last tournament I participated in was one year ago. (It was a little while before I started contemplating this team.) I had used my regular party from Pokémon Black Version, and that didn't turn out well...

Afterwards, I started researching some possible combinations, and eventually, I came up with this party. I also started reading about EVs, IVs, natures, moves, and items.

Breeding started out as a pain! I barely knew what to do, but I was certain that my goal was 31/31/31/31/31/31.
I somehow managed to get a Dratini like that, but it didn't have the right nature. (If you remember me from last year, I made lots of requests for Dratini, Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, Gible, and Deino. I would use them to try to breed better Pokémon.)

Eventually, the closest I got was 31/31/31/12/31/31. It was already April by that time (school slowed me down). Then my buddy FuryCutter looked at my work. Apparently, he learned how to RNG last year. So he taught me how to RNG. I'm still wondering if RNGing is morally correct, but, either way, it got me what I wanted. (Nintendo doesn't care about RNG. RNGed Pokémon are legal in tournaments. But I don't know. Is it okay?)

After that, I started EV training. I had begun EV training in May. I thought ahead of time, so while I was still breeding, I put up a trade request for all of the Power items. By the time I started EV training, I was ready.

EV training was easier than I expected, but I did mess up. (Ducklett gives an EV in HP, but Swanna gives 2 in Speed!) My Pokémon were around Lv. 30 by that time, so I spent a week training them all to at least Lv. 75.

During this time, I made some modifications to the team. I realized that most Pokémon in my team are physical attackers, so the Adamant nature would be good to use. I had to re-RNG Dratini and Bagon because of that (I made them have Lonely natures before). My only real special attacker was Deino, but I did waste some EVs in Attack for him. And that was for only 1 move. I decided to give him a Modest nature instead of Rash, and I swapped out the physical attack for a special attack. (Superpower for Focus Blast!)

Finally, items were all I needed. I had 3 out of the 6 items, so I made a thread on the forums to request for those items. (Thanks for the Muscle Band, Eva!) Then, I decided to just battle in the Battle Subway on my own. I could get some practice, and get the items at the same time!

Last night, I got my last item. But, I don't feel like the Battle Subway helped me much. I used the same two Pokémon every time, with the same combination and same moves. It worked every time.

That's why I'm planning on some more practice today. I might go on Random Matchup, but I think I could use some feedback. Therefore, I'm probably gonna be looking for battles today.

With that said, I'll be battling tomorrow! Hopefully, I'll do a good job. (But I think I might get disqualified. On my PGL account, I have a fake name and birthday, and it said in the rules that I could be disqualified for that. :) I even have a fake birthday on this account. I'm only 15, and it says I'm 22. For the tournament, I should be in the Senior division, but I'm going to be fighting with the Masters!)
