Hi guys ^^;

I don't know but I been thinking that I want to learn Kansai-ben. Kansai-ben is another dialect of Japanese. I looked up a couple of websites and it seems good for me to learn on my own. Since I doubt that there are any schools that teach Kansai-ben in the 'states.

But yeah, but I doubt even the fluent speakers can speak it. None of my Japanese twitter followers can speak Kansai-ben :[

    They wouldn't use dialects when they can use the standard language, which more people can understand better than using dialects. And... being able to speak dialects or not depends on where the speaker grew up. If it's someone who's lived in Tokyo all their life, they probably wouldn't be able to speak in dialects even if they were fluent in Japanese itself. It's like how someone who grew up in a northern city all their life can't speak in southern dialects, and vice versa.
