*Sigh* Another April Fool's Day has come...

And with it, another day for me to avoid the Internet.
Youtube's prank has been pretty blatantly obvious. "OMG WE'RE TAKING YOUTUBE DOWN TO SELECT THE WINNER" is rather odd but not very subtle, especially the ridiculous bits about the "winner" being announced ten years from now. It's a prank, everyone knows it.
I miss the days of YouTube's April Fool's day pranks being Rickrolls on every vid in the front page. Or the format that forced vids into a mockup of theater silent types from the 1900s.
Bulbagarden is now Bananagarden. Um. Ok. Not even funny. Just strange.
Wargaming's forums are callinng everybody "epic tankerz" or "noob".
I am a bit curious to see what Deviantart is doing this year.
Valve is probably going to announce that players must uninstall all games because of a security breach and thus everyone with Steam has a trojan (and then going on to describe what Steam does, but making it sound scary and threatening).
However, the problem with the nature of the Internet is this is a day when everyone's a troll. It's funny for a while, but then it just gets tiresome. The sheer volume of pranks and trolling just gets old after a while, and finally it just turns into a great big pain in the rear. In good spirit, though, I may simply avoid the Internet until April 2nd, enduring (and causing) pranks offline.
Or I may play Zelda games all day. I did score myself the fully translated Hyrule Historia on Friday, and have been fanboying and nerdgasming over that the past two days. Fantastic artwork all around. At one point in development, Midna's imp form looked like something out of Lovecraftian horror. And Link in Twilight Princess was a range of androgynous to looking like a 30-year old tough guy. And, of course, the ever-famous Official Timeline, which I am not going to give away and can be found on the two Zelda-specific wikis.
In any case, I hope you all have a happy (and hopefully safe) April Fool's Day. I might not be taking part.
