  1. Unexplored Ghost-type Combinations

    by , 18th November 2010 at 10:54 AM (winstein's Blogs)
Before Generation 5, I have 6 wanted type combinations involving the Ghost-type, which are Fire, Water, Grass, Ground, Steel and Normal. The first five are the Chinese elements, and I am a Chinese, so that makes sense. However, Generation 5 came and only half of them came true, and I am satisfied, but not sated. So, I decided to look at the 6 unexplored type combinations involving the Ghost-type!

Keep in mind that this entry is not part of the main series. It is just a little diversion ...

  2. Ghosts of Generation 5 - winstein's Review

*Sigh*...my reviews is not destined to be popular, is it? The series is about to finish, and well, I guess that like the Ghost-types, these reviews are bound to be obscured as well. Anyway, finally, Generation 5. This generation introduced the most Ghost-type Pokemon, but it doesn't have as much evolutionary lines as Generation 4. However, that's not to say they are not interesting. Actually, they are all very interesting because all of them are brand new things that had never occured as a Pokemon ...

  3. Ghosts of Generation 4 - winstein's Review

The 4th Generation has thus far more Ghost-types than the last. Of all the generations so far, this one has the most evolutionary lines that are distinct, as that means there would be more competitive Pokemon to use, and of course, they all happen to have competitive value! Of course, they also have interesting designs too, so I can't deny that.

  4. Ghosts of Generation 3 - winstein's Review

    by , 8th November 2010 at 06:32 AM (winstein's Blogs)
It's time for the next roundup, a review of Generation 3's Ghosts! The 3rd Generation introduced more new Ghost Pokemon than the then current ghosts, as if Ghosts were beginning to be part of Pokemon universe. I believe that even though Gastly's family can appear in Hoenn (which I mentioned previously), they were left out to allow these new spirits to shine where Ghosts were supposed to be sparse. Also, of note: this generation is beginning to introduce grounded Ghosts, as most of the new ghosts ...

  5. Ghosts of Generation 1 and 2 - winstein's Review

    by , 6th November 2010 at 02:41 PM (winstein's Blogs)
With Rusty Shacklefold reviewing Fighting-types, it got me interested to do something similar with Ghost-types, since I like Ghost types. I am talking about them from my own interest, so feel free to provide feedback anyhow! Now, I cannot go really in-depth on every aspect, because I am not familiar with the TCG, isn't a manga reader, and certainly not an anime marathon watcher. I am only familiar with the video game's competitive aspect, and even then, it's based on both theory and other people's ...
