I needed to throw this out somewhere, so I'm doin' it here.
The thing is, I've started this new year in a rather unusual way..... with Chickenpox. So I had to miss school for a little more than 2 weeks. And blame it on my luck that I missed out on 6 surprise tests(10 marks each) in school. Those marks were supposed to be added to the final term exams.
Oh, and I forgot, I missed out on 3 Unit tests of 25 marks each as well. Literature, Maths and History.
The tick-tick-ticking just bothers me after a while. Even my watch's barely audible ticking gets annoying when sitting at my computer, but luckily can't be heard from my bed.
Symphony: Live in Vienna: "The Phantom of the Opera" Simply one word (or note): "E6!!!"
*faints, out of not having been able to get over this.....
It sucks that no one will read this, but I'll post it anyways. Isolation
The traces of hope died in the comfort of my fingers.
The flesh is warm, inviting and safe
In contrast to the deluge of the outside world.
The joy drowns.
It crowds into a metal hall
draped in the shrapnel of used batteries.
Tattered smiles taken from
while worn-out sneakers from those very places
run their final
I won 3rd place! However, it was easier than I expected. I had to compete with the 6th graders, so some say I had the upper hand. I didn't, as many athletic 6th graders flunked a grade, making them 12 or 13. It was mmuch easier, but I didn't feel my legs. 1/2 a mile biking, 1/4 running, 200 m? swimming. They also gave a 3rd place medal to the 6th grader that would have placed 3rd. I still won, though!
