Alright, I don't know if this counts as a review or a rant, maybe both, but I'm just going to tell you how I interpreted the first episode of this show (I watched the dubbed by the way).
So we start off with red Star Wars-like text on the screen, and a generic narrator voice tells us what's going on. Cool, so we've got a moon kingdom, a moon queen, then everything changed when the evil queen from nowhere decided to attack because she fucking could. So with the help of two moon cats

I mean, I can't really think of anything else to say, besides justifying having it in a blog post by thinking I might draw in more people that way. I dunno.
I had actually proposed a rule requiring blog posters to divulge XY spoilers, regardless of whether the poster was talking about those games.
...And it was fantastic. I truly loved every second of it.
I kept laughing at all the references to the games, especially the TM's. It's a shame they never showed how you would use it though. I also really enjoyed how they would have the trainer's log thing at the beginning of each episode, that was a nice touch.
Episode 1 was god, I liked how Red was introduced to Brock and how Red discovered what it really means to be a Pokemon trainer. When Red started to send out
XY spoiler-esque drawing ahead, it's a drawing of two unrevealed Pokemon. One basic form one and its evolution, I accidentally got spoilered of it on Tumblr.(Because somebody didn't tag their post) I really really like it a lot, since I already got spoilered of its basic form I took a peak at its evolution and I really really like it a lot. Though I've avoided pretty much all spoilers except this one. That Pokemon is this little bamf I took the time to draw this morning:
