Getting published

My attempts at getting my novel published.

  1. More Rejections

I've had two more rejections through since I last posted this... one of them was from the biggest literary agent in the UK.

The thing is, I've been thinking over the story that I sent in and I really don't think it's my best work. It's a good story but it's not brilliant and I think I'm capable of much, much better. The fact of the matter is that I wrote the original draft in 28 days (NaNoWriMo for those of you who know what that is) and even though I've spent more than a year redrafting ...

  2. Much Point in Posting This?

Another rejection came through today. I'm not going to bother copy & pasting it like with the other ones, there's not really any need.

    Same old, same old tbh

    "Dear ____

Thank you for letting us consider this but I'm afraid that we are going to pass.

We wish you all the best of luck in finding representation elsewhere.

    With all best wishes,

Not to worry though, there's plenty more agents that I've applied to and even the best authors had to go through dozens upon dozens ...

  5. Agents & Publishing - also FF.net

I sent the first sample chapters of my novel off to agents today.

I should get a response between 2 and 6 weeks, depending on the agency that I've sent it to.

If any of them reply positively, they'll then try and find me a publisher.

If any of THEM reply positively, they'll publish me and I'll finally be making money from my writing! Happy days!

Also, I joined FF.net under the pen name 'G Mama' (thanks to the Noob for that one) I'm gonna ...
