Today I went to Pokemon Town 2014 with @Mintaka; to get the Pokemon Center plush dolls. Thank goodness we were there early - the plushies were being sold like hotcakes. Every time the staff brought a new box of dolls, people would start grabbing them off the shelves almost instantly. I wanted a 3rd generation pokemon, so I picked Jirachi. Mintaka chose Sylveon.
It was nice to see a lot of other products that's only found in the Japan Pokemon Center. The Sleeping Pikachu set was on display, as well as several iPad and iPhone cases with pokemon designs.
My Jirachi plushie. It's slightly larger the size of my hand. So cute!

There was a booth where we could battle the staff cosplaying as Team Flare (they also posed as the famous Team Flare pose when people took pictures with them, lol!). I participated, but unfortunately, it seemed they weren't able to connect my pre-installed Y version to their game (they needed the game chips to connect), so I had to battle using a team prepared by the staff...which, of course, probably wasn't EV-trained... XD I lost 3-0 but eh, I got a nice plastic file with a cool illustration as a participation gift. Mintaka won her battle, so she got an extra mouse pad.
I also got a Charizard with a Charizardite X from a distribution booth because wynaut. An extra pokemon is always welcome.
There were a lot of other activities, such as the TCG event and a Mega Evolution Battle event, and there were also Mega dolls as prizes, such as Mega Ampharos.
There was the Bakery where people could bake their own Pikachu cookies, which was so cute :)
An endless amount of O Powers were being distributed by the event. Everything was at MAX level, and lasted for about an hour per use.
The best thing about the event was that it wasn't limited to kids. There were so many pokemon fans of all ages - a lot of them adults - and everyone was enjoying the event, whether they participated with their family, their friends, or as an individual. The entire event itself was made for kids, yes, but I was glad to see everyone was enjoying it.
