Ok so all the reviews and hype say omg if you can die there is more at stake and its more enjoyable.

After finishing both they things I can say otherwise.

No its not more fun.

Simply put there is no risk involved at all almost.

90% of all fire emblem or Nuzlocks are just boring grindfests. You do loads of trash grinding to ensure you dont lose. Seriously by the end of FE my sorcerer char pretty much 1shot the end boss and had my whole squad had pretty much lvled to max. It destroyed any proper challange. Ok i didnt beat it on hardest super insane but I've read the same thing applies that your so paranoid about fails you mega grind.

Its the same for pokemon. You spend hours killing rattata to ensure even crits wont hurt your lvl 83 marill. Ofc you could not grind but then ofc you'd fail since usually your rng has given you a team of right crap.

Respawn is for sissies. If you're good enough, you don't need it.

The alternative in FE is to restart whenever you lose a char.

Maybe it's just the stigma attached to permadeath, but I actually like it. Sure, insert the usual bullshit - it makes you try harder, etc., etc. - but I feel as if it makes the storyline more meaningful (assuming you don't reset after every death). Of course, I'm a sentimental fanfiction author, so yeah. lol

"Is Permi Death Really More Fun?" would be a great album title.

Try playing the earleir Fire Emblem games where you can't grind at all. The only enemies you fight are the ones in the chapters themselves and there are no random battles in between chapters to grind. And Perma-daeth still exists.
