Dying Consoles

Rate this Entry
@MegamanDX; has sent me this article about the horrible truth of the future of consoles:

http://www.krcrtv.com/news/technology/Why-console-gaming-is-dying/-/14286042/17344704/-/etywerz/-/index.html

It's over, Nintendo's finished, and so are Sony and Microsoft.
Attention grabbing is one thing but what you're doing is just sensationalism, gross exaggeration and flat out BS.
The style of your blog is no different than news media portraying video games as murder simlators. That type of news is also sensationalism, gross exaggeration and flat out BS.
I don't know, the last few users, besides FrostyGaga, who responded here seem to agree with the article, which means they are dying.

Please tell you're not serious. 3 people doing the same bit of exaggeration doesn't mean it's true. You have got to stop believing every article that comes along proclaiming something negative about the video game industry. And it's always something negative. Why not be a little cheery for once?I'll repeat it again. An industry doesn't just die overnight. Even the 83 Video Game Crash didn't kill the video gaming industry.Console gaming is NOT dying. It's changing for the better.

Yellow Journalism at its finest. You can't go a week without hearing how social media or television or gaming is dying. Didn't MTV supposedly kill radio, and didn't YouTube kill MTV? Console gaming is going to remain popular. Even if Facebook games are more popular than the latest FPS, that doesn't mean gaming is dying, it just means that fashions have changed.

Why would Pokemon come to an end, it's a money maker. To stop making Pokemon would be a bad business descison. Nintendo, like Sony and Microsoft, exist to make money, killing Pokemon or Mario is just pissing away money.

    Gaming isn't dying, it's adapting.
