Final Fantasy NES - Red Mage Challenge Part 1

Rate this Entry
Hello! This is Lief, and currently, I'm redoing my Red Mage Challenge in Final Fantasy I. So let's begin...

A beautiful Red Mage, Neo, is born!
Mort, Draco, and Ghestis are soon spawn into the world.
Think of the irony...

After being thrust outside of Cornelia for some reason, Neo returns inside, only to be greeted by three hyperactive Black Mages. Who want to guard him.
To prove their worth, they must slay 10 Imps without any assistance from Neo.
Who then pigs out on the magic and weaponry.

Notice a problem?

No! Mort! You shall be missed. ;_;
Dear Mort's family,
I regret to inform you that your husband/child/brother has been slain in combat. I wanted to kill the others as fast as possible, but alas, I could not enforce any restrictions upon them without them also applying to Mort, and the imps today seemed to, unnaturally, be after him. I shall finish my quest without him, and revive him as soon as possible afterwards, for the reviver hates me.
Sincerest of apologies,
Neo McMagica

Reconfiguring his position to kill the bastards as soon as possible, Neo engages into combat with the wives of the imps the Black Mages killed earlier.

Well, they engaged with him, to be more precise: Draco and Ghestis didn't even get to act. Neo finished off the imps with no trouble, gained a level (increasing Vitality, something else, and the useless stat Intelligence along with Strength and HP), and did an extra victory dance as the bastards were dead.

Next time, he engages with Garland!
