Robot Maids and Wasted Plots

Dammit movie 11. Don't introduce perfect androids if you're not going to *use* them. The summary floating around doesn't mention Infi at *all*. Was she just eye candy like Freddy from 8?

I thought for *sure* there had to be a more elaborate reason behind her existance than just "I wanted a robot maid and I got one". I was really hoping Infi was, like, the representation of Zero's dead sister or something and he wanted to take control of Giratina to bring back the real one (during which time he could take over the world as a bonus, nothing saying he couldn't), and that Infi was going to have to sacrifice herself for him at some point. But it doesn't look like any of that happened, which is a shame.

See, they need to call me in to fix their plots. I could have done right by movie 9.

Well, I suppose this is just another chalk up for wasted opportunities. Though your idea is quite a good one. You should write Infi's backstory after the movie comes out.

Actually, now that I think of it, I kind of imagined Zero to be like Adam J Susan from the V for Vendetta graphic novel. He wants to take over the world so that he can make the world perfect, and his obsession with machines, including the Megaliba, Magnezone, and Infi, personifies this perfect ideal. Like Susan, he acts tough and controlling, but ends up to be this insecure man who just wants to be loved, and since he cannot be loved by a real human, he invents one instead.

But that's way too dark and sophisticated for Pokemon.

I definitely agree. I would read a fanfic about Zero's history and the origin behind Infi, Megaliba and everything else in a heartbeat.

I dunno...your proposal sounds a bit like a rehash of the Dr. Fuji/Ai thing from the first movie. There are some differences, of course, but the general ideas seem about the same.
