Mad Mod

On Monday, my husband discovered that he and I were both being modded on one of our Transformer groups. It's not a forum but an emailing list and all of our messages had to be approved by the list owner before they could be posted to the rest of the group.
This had been going on since the end of April. The reason why? Prime posted a BotCon report to said group. Since the owner of that group--both of which will remain nameless--had his local get-together convention going that weekend, I'm willing to bet that he used that as a reason to mod us. Now, that's kind of a silly reason, as Prime didn't just send the post to that one group. He sent them to all the groups of which he is a member. One of those other groups the mod in question is a member and has modding powers there too. He did nothing on that other group. It was only on the local one.
Another problem: I never made a BotCon related post on that group or any of them, for that matter. I wasn't even able to blog about the Con here; I had almost no free time on my hands. So it looks like "guilt by association" in my case.
Prime's been taken off the mod list, it seems. He got that reversed last night. But I'm still on it. I'm confused as all get out, though. Did the list owner really feel that threatened by us going to BotCon? I know he had been railing against going to "McBotCon" and was telling people not to support the "coporate Convention" but this is getting out of hand. Seriously, you won't be winning friends doing something like this!
As for the local convention, I'm out. I've gone for the last several years and enjoyed myself but if the organizer has to stoop to what I see as petty behavior then I'm done with it. Apparently, this guy has no idea that some people can actually be neutral on something like this and can enjoy not only the big conventions but the small local ones as well. It really sucks as I made a lot of friends there and I don't want to lose contact with them, but if I'm modded on the group then I have no real choice in the matter.
