Transform and Roll Out!

A little bit of Transformers, a little bit of Pokemon and a lot of geeking out.

...that scene near the beginning of GHOSTBUSTERS. You know.

Prime went on a StreetPass mad dash after work today, and brought along both of our 3DS units, hoping to nail down the 100-in-a-day achievement (no such luck on both counts) and find one of us an Eon Ticket. He's been taking the cracks at it since this latest NSPW began; it only PAID OFF today.

"I-ve-got-an-E-on-Tic-ket" (dadaDA dada da) RUN HOME, SILVY, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

  2. NOPE of the Day

I was flipping through the channels and came across AMC, which happened to be airing "Snakes on a Plane". I've never seen it so I thought I'd leave it on in the background, just as something to listen to as I got ready for work.

  3. Black and White and Shades of Grey

On Tuesday night, Prime and I did a little shopping at my Target. While I was there, I picked up a new blank book that I could use as a journal. My current one, which I've had since 1998(!) is finally coming to the end of its lifespan. I have a grand total of 12 pages left, which means it will probably be finished by the end of the year.

I started journaling when I was 21. One of the gifts I had bought for myself was an unlined blank book with a blue patterned cover. The moment I ...
  4. End of Summer

Most people consider the end of summer as Labor Day but here in Wisconsin, it seems to come a bit earlier than that. Already some of the leaves are changing color and have been for the last few weeks. Even today, the temperature is autumn-like and the sky clear, like an early fall day. Summer is drawing to an end.

Tomorrow, i start my new job at Target. I'll be cashiering, as I was at Walmart but this is a different store and a different set-up. I don't know Target's policies too ...

  5. Full Circle

I've been meaning to update this blog but wouldn't allow myself to do so until my current situation changed, no matter how long it might have taken. But there's been a reason why I've been on a lot more lately: on August 14th, I was terminated from my cashiering position at Walmart. Or to put it layman's terms, I was fired.

I don't really want to go into the details as to why; just typing this out is bad enough. Even if it wasn't my fault, it still makes me feel like a gigantic failure ...
