The Ramblings of a silly fool

Here are my ramblings from week to week, possibly imbetween feel free to read and even comment if you wish.

  1. #9 So I've lost my closest Uni friend after all

by , 1st September 2014 at 07:00 PM (The Ramblings of a silly fool)
I started University in September 2013 and was incredibly anxious as you can imagine.
I'd had friends, but not really close ones before and was wondering if here I would finally get the close friends I wanted.

I was fortunate in that it seemed I had, there was 4 of us, 2 girls and 2 guys, as a sort of core group and then we had other friends etc as extensions and were close knit with another group. We were really close, after living with each other for months seeing each other ...
  2. #8 Conflicting Political Identities

I am bi, and so obviously support LGBT rights, equal marriage, transgender rights etc. I believe in free Universal Healthcare, I believe in free education (even University education) for all. I believe in recycling and looking after the environment, I believe in the basic principle that those with the broadest shoulders should carry the heaviest burden, ie the rich pay more tax, and the poor are subsidised with benefits. I believe in making the minimum wage into a living wage. I'm not religious ...

  3. #7 The Bullies Are Winning

First off at the local level.
    1. At my University we have a Pokemon Society, as I've mentioned before this is the only place where I've met anyone nasty at my University, the guy is constantly putting people down, always trying to make others look bad, and has a group of friends he uses as attack dogs to bite you rather than get his own hands dirty sometimes. Somehow, ...
  4. You Find The Nastiest People, In The Strangest Places!

So we all meet people who we don't get on with, people we dislike, people who are a bit of a douche, that's just a part of life.

I've completed my first year at Uni, and really had a lot of my preconceptions challenged. On my first day, met this Rugby lad from Northern England who liked boozing and working behind bars. Not my type of person, shook hands said hello, thought that will be the last time we talk (not out of nastiness just I doubt we would ever interact much) went out with ...
  5. Housing Situation Tying My Stomach In Knots

So as some of you know I'm a University Student, and I've just completed my first year.

I had arranged to live with a group of 3(2 girls one other guy) really nice people next year and I was so happy and so looking forward to it, for once in my life everything seemed perfect, this should have been the first clue, if it's too good to be true it usually is.

So it turns out the other guy, has an anger problem. I can't say there wasn't warning signs, twice during the year, ...
