My Top 6 Pokemon Generations

I love every single Pokemon generation BUT not equally. Some I find better and some I find worse than other generations. So this is my Top 6 Pokemon Generations
I'll be taking all games in a generation into account (even some of the console games).
I'll be taking the storylines (however it doesn't have a major effect on the placing) and Pokemon into account.
#6: Generation I
The generation that started it all. I have fond memories of playing it but later on, I'm seeing many problems.
1. The balance system wasn't really balanced.
2. Once you teach a Pokemon a HM move, you can't get rid of it.
3. Some of the sprites were terrible (though Yellow fixed this problem).
4. There wasn't much to do after defeating the Elite Four except catch Mewtwo (which I never bothered to do).
I still like this generation, it had good Pokemon (though 1/4 them were bad) and I would pick it up if I could find my Game Boy but it seems pretty outdated.
#5: Generation III
I really enjoyed Fire Red and Leaf Green (and I personally recommend it over the originals) and Colosseum and XD were great. I do like Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald but they weren't as spectacular as the other games in the generation. The region was decent but traveling to each town was a bit of a pain; Dark Caves, Surfing and having a lot of HM requirements were all a pain in the butt. The evil teams, while it was a good idea to have 2 different ones, it didn't go very well. There wasn't much differences except one uses the Numel family while the other uses the Carvanha family. Their goal seemed a bit stupid. This generation had some ups, the new Pokemon were good. The cities were great and while I didn't like the plot the climax in Emerald was good (though I wish you catched Rayquaza instead of waking him up) and it was a fun challenge.
#4 Generation II
I remember spending many hours on my Silver. I loved almost all the new Pokemon. It was a bit hard and I liked it and you got to explore 2 regions, there was so much to do. Dark and Steel types were awesome. My only complaint is that the plot seemed a bit pointless.
#3 Generation IV
I loved the new Pokemon and all the evolutions to old ones. The plot was pretty decent and I quite enjoyed the Battle Frontier in Platinum. They also remade Gold and Silver which I played through both games a lot. They also separated Physical and Special moves on the moves themselves and not by type (which is a good thing).
#2 Generation VI
There wasn't much new Pokemon as there was before but this is the first and only time, I liked all the introduced Pokemon. This generation introduced Mega Evolutions which was a nice game changer though a few seemed a bit to OP. They also introduced Fairy type which I grew to love though there wasn't that much Fairy moves that do damage (especially in the Physical department) and the graphics are nice. The plot however felt like a rehash of Gen IV storyline.
#1 Generation V
There are many things I love in the Gen. The new Pokemon were mostly awesome (some were stupid), it even introduced my favourite Pokemon of all time (Eelektross). It introduced Triple Battles and Rotation Battles which are my favourite ways to battle (along with single battles). The plot was actually amazing with detailed character and a pretty cool climax. This Gen even got sequels instead of a typical third version which were just as great as there prequels.
